Are you having trouble resonating with your prospective clients online?

Here's the truth. You see, many Coaches have a huge challenge when it comes to attracting new clients. It's because they are technically trying to sell the unknown.

By unknown, I mean that most people who can benefit from coaching, whether it be business coaching or personal coaching, either have never heard of it or don't really understand how coaching works or will benefit them.

When people work with a coach for the first time, there usually comes a point when they say “a ha!” or have some type of breakthrough and are only then better able to understand the benefit they can get.

So trying to get clients can seem like a catch-22. In order to want to pay to work with you, they need a strong sense of what you do. But to get that sense they need to work with you first!

It's because of this hurdle that direct selling or direct response methods like cold calling or placing ads don't always resonate with them. Those channels don't always get you clients directly.

Dealing with this challenge can be frustrating for many new coaches and I'm sure it's been frustrating for you too! 

I know as a coach or expert, that you really want to help your clients succeed in their business or in their life, but getting the prospect to sign on the dotted line doesn't happen as often as you would like.

So how can you deal with selling the unknown? 

Well, our method here at Wealthy Mind is to use a mini website to do it. Or another word for it is an automated funnel.

This concept isn't entirely new but it's how most of the top coaches and experts are attracting their ideal clients on autopilot every single day. This pipeline, automatically books out their calendars and gives them people to speak too about their offerings every single day.

Wow! Imagine that...

Here are 3 reasons why this funnel works:

1 – We use Psychographic Targeting and speak to them in a language of “what they do know and feel.” 


When we speak their language, the prospective clients can relate to the pains and struggles that we are pointing out. We do our best to paint a vivid picture of what their life may currently look like. 

This is why it's extremely important to research your ideal client and know them better than they know themselves.

They have to know that we relate to what they are going through. 

Their pains and struggles may include some of the things that you have experienced in the past, especially if you have overcome the topic on what you are coaching on.

Some things could include:
  • Facing incredible debt
  • Struggling to make ends meet financially
  • Feeling worthless and a failure
  • Unsatisfied in their relationship and feeling trapped
  • Their health is completely out of control
  • Not being able to sleep because they are so worried
  • Suffering anxiety and depression because of their problem
  • Addictions that are suffering their family members

The beautiful part about this process though, is that they can also relate to where they want to be in the future. 

Some examples could be having a lot of income so their financial worries are over, having peace of mind with a full and happier life. 

So when you create a funnel, you want to be sure to create copy (the words you write) that your prospect already knows about, such as their pains and their desires. 

As a coach, you would know that you job is to take a person from point A to point B. Your coaching fills that GAP. Create that imagination in their mind so they can clearly see that outcome and you are the person to help them get there.

Additionally, case studies and testimonials of others you have helped would further your prospect's understanding of what you do. These examples are most effective if they are written or shown in terms of initial problems and end results. 

In the funnel, you can incorporate these in creative ways, like images or video clips.

Explain what you do in terminology they can understand directly, which better communicates what you do. When prospects clearly see what they can get from working with you they will get more excited and interested.

2 – Give away something Valuable - In Coaching a FREE Discovery Call is the Key.

Giving your prospective client something of great value is very enticing. At the end of your funnel process you will invite your viewer to book a 30-45 minute discovery session with you.

Not only are these calls a great way to build rapport and work out if you are a great fit to work together, but this gives the prospective a great opportunity to learn more about you and your coaching style and understand more clearly how you can help them.

But the main thing to remember during this session is to keep your posture and remember that they NEED YOU! Therefore it is important that you control the conversation and how the session goes.

3 – Get them to Apply to work with you.

Now, a very important part of this funnel process is that you make it a condition that they have to apply for their free discovery session.

Not only is this a benefit for you in getting to know more about them before you prepare for your meeting, but also because it positions you as the 'Expert', gives you posture and doesn't make you look needy for clients. You have to let your prospects know that you are serious in only working with the best action takers because you pride yourself on getting your clients results.
