June 1, 2025 | Power Restoration Updates

GOOD NEWS FROM AUSTIN ENERGY:
Power restoration is in the third and final phase. Based on current information, Austin Energy expects to restore power to all households that can safely be re-energized this evening.

Thanks to a tremendous 24-hour push by Austin Energy and its mutual aid crews, two-thirds of the 1,624 District residents who were without service as of early Saturday morning are now back online. In total, almost 9,500 District 10 residents have had power restored since Wednesday evening.

Austin Energy has now moved into “Phase 3” of its restoration process, which focuses on smaller, often single-customer outages that are typically complex and time-consuming. As of 7am today, 550 D10 residents still lack power, and many of them fall into this category. Austin Energy expects to restore power to the remaining customers who can safely receive it by this evening. My team and I will continue to keep D10 and the rest of our community updated on this process.

⚠️ We urge those still without power to text OUT to 287846, visit the AUSTIN ENERGY OUTAGE MAP, call 512-322-9100, and follow Austin Energy on social-media.

Temperatures are climbing, and the City of Austin is operating public cooling centers. Visit austintexas.gov/alerts for locations.

Austin Energy is also hosting a free community event today, where food, drink, and charging stations will be available. Here are the details:

I realize this has been an extremely trying time, particularly for those who lack power or who went without it for days. I want to offer my gratitude to the hardworking staff of Austin Energy and to the Council Members and other city employees who have helped out since Wednesday. But most of all, I want to thank you: the residents of D10, whom I’m proud to represent. If you’re still without service, please hang in there! Help is on the way.
