Subject: Is 2024 the year of your transformation, step 2

Hey Friend,

This is part two, step two, of the three steps to permanent weight loss success that I promised you.

Step One was: Begin with WHY, then WHAT, then HOW!

And if you haven't already watched it, watch my ten minute video on coming up with your BIG WHY...What Helps You move forward, when you feel like quitting?  Watch it here: https://vimeo.com/user18147027/why?share=copy

STEP TWO:
You need the RIGHT STRATEGY, and EMPOWERING STORY, and the ability to CHANGE YOUR STATE or mindset.

So, what is the right strategy for permanent weight loss success?

It’s very simple:
  • Eat the right foods, in the right amounts, at the right time.
  • Plan for tomorrow, today.
  • Practice conscious eating: eat when physically hungry, stop when you’ve had enough.
  • Give your body the right amount of water every day.
  • Stand more than you sit every day.

Notice I didn’t say anything about a particular diet. That’s because we don’t do diets. I also don’t believe in starving yourself or giving up your favorite foods.

To be successful, you plan your meals ahead, have a plan for dealing with upcoming obstacles, including when you’re going to deviate from your plan.

Sounds simple, doesn’t it.

That’s because if you’re going to maintain it over the long-term, it must be simple.

But the next step is also critical: learning how to change your story and mindset from one of negative self-talk based on irrational beliefs, to having an empowering mindset that says, I will persist until I win!

To accomplish this, I work with my clients to learn how to resolve the emotional roadblocks that often lead to self-sabotage. And one of the most important mindset habits they practice is how to change their STATE of being regularly, every day.

This is important because most people often quit on themselves because they can’t deal with the overwhelming negative emotions that show up when they fail, when the scale doesn’t move, or when life gets in the way.

It’s easy when things are going well, you’re motivated and getting results. I call this the PEAK experience.

But long-term success is determined by how you navigate the VALLEY. In other words, what you do when you fall off plan, you’re not getting results, and everything seems to be going wrong.

So, your success or failure will depend on how well you navigate the VALLEY'S so you can get back to your PEAK experience.

Next time, we’ll talk about the importance of accountability.
