Subject: Are you being productive or procrastinating?

A question you need to ask yourself often...

Last week I was going over my goals for Q3 and what I need to do to achieve them.

While breaking down the actions I need to take, I had a realisation...

80% of what you think is "productive" is actually procrastination.

Think about it.

How many of the "jobs" you do every day bring you closer to your goals?

Most people know what they need to do.

The reality is they choose not to do it because it's uncomfortable.

Getting in shape is uncomfortable.

Getting rejected during outreach is uncomfortable.

Getting no engagement on social media is uncomfortable.

Be completely honest- is your to-do list actually getting you where you want to be?

Or is it full of easy tasks that aren't going to move the needle?

If you truly want to make progress before the end of 2025 you need to get serious with yourself.

Start by identifying what it is you want to achieve.

Once identified, work backwards, breaking down the daily jobs you need to do.

Let's say you want to land a client.

Every day you need to:

  • Send 10 DMs

  • Send 30-50 cold emails

  • Create value-oriented posts on social media

Alternatively, let's say you want to get in shape:

Every day you need to:

  • Exercise for 45 minutes

  • Get out for a 5-10k walk

  • Eat a healthy balanced diet

If you want to make this even easier, complete these first thing.

That way you have no time to come up with an excuse (being tired, busy, etc).

Wake up, work on your needle-moving tasks and then go about the rest of your jobs.

Achieving what you want is easy at its core.

Your mind just makes the goal harder than it needs to be.

Have a great week,
