Autonomous and Asynchronous
Creating and maintaining code can be an art, and a science. Front-end code, in particular, can become unruly if we don't keep track of our efforts on an ongoing basis, explaining our updates, and keeping track of our end-user impact.

In the back-end world, many companies have found microservices architecture helpful in isolating function-specific code that can be deployed in multiple contexts, making the maintaining of that code more straightforward as long as all of the interdependencies remain intact.

Microservices has been a stranger to the front-end world, until now. We found an article that takes a look at how microservices can be applied to front-end environments and the pioneer companies making an effort to get it done.

Look for more on that, and some links to insights on storytelling in programming, accessibility, and more down below.

Microfrontends: Microservices for the Frontend
Microservices architecture has eluded the front-end development world for most its formative years, until now. Companies like Netflix and Capital One have developed microservices of their own that make use of the benefits of microservices architecture while avoiding the pitfalls of the isolated nature of an autonomously-bred and maintained "service".

Front-end microservices, or "microfrontends", has some serious challenges, but may be worth a look as this newish technology looks to come into its own.
