Oh my gosh, I AM SO READY FOR SPRING!!
I’m so ready that I’ve started using all the spring images in our social media even though there is still snow in my front yard. Sigh.

But it’s coming and we can all relax, get outside and start moving with confidence, instead of worrying about slipping on the ice.

So, come on out to class and get your body ready to garden, walk, bike, whatever your spring activities may be!

We’re making April breast health month here at the studio!

Krisha, Kim and I, are offering a workshop on April 27 combining movement and self-massage techniques to increase circulation and function of your breast tissues and the surrounding muscles. It’s going to be useful AND fun!

Here’s what our RMT team have to say about breast health:

“Breast tissue health is strongly tied to circulation and drainage. Breast massage by a registered massage therapist (RMT) mobilizes breast tissue and promotes blood and lymph circulation. While massage therapy can help relieve pain, congestion, and edema, it is also beneficial as part of an overall self-care routine. The RMT uses light pressure when working on breast tissue, with a focus on increasing lymphatic drainage through gentle, directed strokes towards the lymph
nodes. There are a variety of draping options available to ensure you are comfortable. Your therapist will discuss your options with you before treatment, and you will be asked to sign a consent form giving your therapist permission to perform the massage as discussed. You can revoke your consent AT ANY TIME. The key to any good massage is communication. Your comfort is paramount.”

Breast tissue health is strongly tied to circulation and drainage. Breast massage mobilizes breasttissue and promotes blood and lymph circulation. Massage can help relieve pain, congestion, and edema (swelling).

The Boomerang RMT team of Krisha Arbour and Kim Kane will be teaching you gentle, effective self-massage strategies to add a wonderful layer of self-care to your life.

Alison will be presenting movements and stretches to target chest and shoulder muscles that affect circulation and function in the area of your breast tissue. No, you can't â€śexercise”your breasts, but you can exercise all the areas around them and make a difference... because it's all connected!

You will receive a take home package of exercises and self-massage techniques for continued use in your every-day life.

This is a 2.5 hour workshop.The studio doors will be closed and the windows covered over for privacy.
