Happy New Year!
I love the feeling of fresh starts, goals and aspirations!
I am aware, at this time of year, though, of how often I hear people talk about how they've been "bad" over the holidays and need to get back on track. There's a lot of self-judgement around and I invite you to think of another way to approach this whole issue of New Year's Resolutions... don't make one!

I wrote a blog post last year about my preferred approach of choosing a theme to help me make mindful choices and decisions over the course of the year. This time I'm adding an extra step: I've added a monthly date into my calendar to assess how I'm applying this  year's theme, and see how I feel about it. I've chosen "nourish" as my theme of the year! Check out the blog here, and let me know what you choose as your theme for 2019!

NEW SCHEDULING SYSTEM
As many of you know, we haven't been happy with MindBody, and we are shifting over to a new system called Acuity very shortly (hopefully next week). We'll keep you up to date as we go along.

All your regular information will be carried along to the new system, including your contact info and your packages and class passes. Your credit card information will NOT be carried along, as that is confidential information. If we have your info stored, we will need to re-enter it for the new credit card processor.

You will still be able to sign in for classes online or on the Acuity app, pay with cash, credit, cheque or e-transfer and keep track of your account. Your own information will still be accessible on Mindbody in your own account, and we are downloading all the studio history before we lose our own access.

We know there will be a learning curve to the new processes, but Acuity is supposed to be very intuitive and user friendly, so we hope it will be much more convenient once we all get the bugs worked out!

We're going to build you a Bingo game that includes fun treats and prizes, but first let us know all those key phrases ( It's not the same from side to side... sound familiar to anyone??). Reply to this email and let me know what you want to see on your bingo card!


New classes
Adding to Fahmida's new Roll| Restore| Refresh on Wednesdays at 9:30 am, we are introducing a second Whole Body Pilates 1 on Thursdays at 1:30 with Melanie. It's going to be a great way to get moving during the day and get that burst of energy you need to overcome the afternoon blahs!
