FAQ's about
what's happening at the studio
When is the studio opening up?
Now that Toronto is at Stage 3, we will be able to open on Friday.
We'll start with private sessions only, at the discretion of the teachers. When each teacher decides she is comfortable working inside, she will reach out to her existing clients and we'll open up her schedule for booking.

I have decided that I will mostly wait until September to offer the full roster of live classes again. Some classes may come back sooner, but not for at least two weeks after Stage 3 starts. We're going to be cautious in our re-entry and respect the health and safety of you and the teachers.

I know that's frustrating for those of you who are itching to get back to the studio, but I don't want Boomerang to contribute to a new surge, and I don't want to have to close up again after re-opening. We'll wait and see how things go in this big, beautiful city of ours before we come back.

Krisha and Marta are slowly starting to treat again, only with their long-term existing clients as they figure out how the new protocols are working.

We'll keep you posted about when their schedules open up!

What are the new protocols at the church?
The church itself is locked to maintain safe use of the space.
Your teacher or therapist will meet you at the parking lot door 5 minutes before your session starts.
You will sanitise your hands on entering the building and masks are required any time you're in the building, except when you are in the active process of your session.
You'll exit through the Wright Ave door to maintain the traffic flow through the building. It's a crash door that doesn't need hand contact,

What's going to change about taking a private session?
When you book your private session, make sure you select the one you want. If you want to be online, select Virtual. Otherwise, stick with the regular sessions you booked back in the old days!

We'll still maintain physical distance inside the studio, so unless your instructor is giving you a specific tactile cue, we will be 6' away from you.

Your instructor will be masked at all times, and although you aren't required to wear a mask while actually exercising, you do need to wear one as you come into the building, get yourself settled and as you leave. And of course you're welcome to wear one all the time!

We won't be using any small props at the studio, so bring a bag with all your favourite stuff and a mat (although with private sessions we can use the cleanable mat extender from the reformer instead).

For those of you who used to have a class going on at the same time as your private, your time may have to change. Once we get to classes, we can't have classes and private sessions co-existing anymore. That's just too many people in the space! Your teacher will work with you to find the best alternative appointment time.

Even when the studio opens, I'm not ready to be out in public. Can I still take class?
We'll be offering online classes and privates, and outdoor privates, for the foreseeable future.
Regardless of what happens with re-opening the physical studio, we know that some of you can't expand your exposure for non-essentials. We believe movement is essential AND that you can do it without risking your health, or the health of those precious to you.
Once we get to live classes, there will be a computer in the studio for the Zoom component, and you can choose to visit us in person, or you can stay safely at home.

So that's how things are looking right now! Please feel free to email me any time to get more details or updates as we go along. This is a fluid situation and we'll do everything we can to keep everyone happy, healthy and moving!
