Subject: Stiff Leg Deadlift vs Romanian Deadlift (which is better?)

Lee Hayward's Total Fitness Bodybuilding Tips
Hey Friend,

Do you know the difference between the Stiff Leg Deadlift and Romanian Deadlift?

Do you know what muscles each one works?

And do you know which deadlift variation should you use based on your fitness goals?

If you're not sure, that's ok because we'll be discucssing those questions here...

Just recently I got a question from one of my personal coaching students, Alex, and he was asking me to critique his stiff leg deadlift form.

He was complaining of feeling pain in the lower back, and not feeling anything in his hamstrings and glutes - which is the main reason he was doing the exercise in the first place.

In Alex's situation, I recommended that he swap out stiff leg deadlifts for Romanian deadlifts instead. I personally feel that Romanian deadlifts are a better exercise for building muscle in the hamstrings and glutes compared to the stiff leg deadlift.

Many people think that stiff leg deadlifts and Romanian deadlifts are the same thing. And I used to think this as well. But there are a few key differences between the 2 deadlift variations.

Check out the tutorial video below to see the differences and find out which deadlift variation is best for you and your fitness goals...
