Hey Friend, welcome to day 3 of the 5 day LOSE YOUR GUT challenge! Did you know that NOT eating enough veggies may be causing you to plateau in your fat loss!
Today we're going to have a little fun with vegetables...
(No, not that kind of fun... We're keeping this G rated LOL 😝)
Here's 4 BIG Reasons why you NEED to eat your Veggies!
1. They are going to fill you up with high nutrient, low calorie density food. You can pretty much stuff yourself with green and colourful vegetables without getting fat. No one ever because obese because they ate "Too Many" vegetables!"
2. They provide phytochemicals, antioxidants, fiber to nourish and energize your body on the cellular level and help it get rid of the gunk in your system. Eating lots of veggies keeps you regular!
3. They help stabilize the acid / alkaline balance in your body. When you eat protein, it’s naturally very acidic in the body. But veggies are alkaline and help to detox your body. That’s why I always preach eating protein AND veggies as the base of your meals. Then fill up on starches, fats, etc. afterwards.
4. Big Benefit - especially for men - cruciferous vegetables (i.e. a lot of the fibrous veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts, etc. Have the ability to neutralize excess estrogen in the body. And excess estrogen causes stubborn bodyfat, man-boobs, and creates a soft mushy look to your physique. Eating more veggies can not only make you healthier, but help you look leaner and more muscular as well. Huge Bonus!
