The limits of two-photon vision

Researchers at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences have pushed the boundaries of two-photon vision – a phenomenon that enables humans to perceive infrared pulses that are invisible under normal conditions. The research has made it possible to determine more precisely when and how the eye detects such signals, which could aid the development of new imaging and optical diagnostic methods.
