Subject: Can't feel your lats working? Try THIS before you train back...
This is a VERY common problem that many people have and if YOU have it, you know how frustrating it is.
You perform all the back exercises you're supposed to...you feel like you're using proper form...but your lats just don't get engaged in the movements. And they don't grow.
That can be fixed.
And one of the best ways to fix that is with what's called an "activation set."
This is essentially an isolation exercise done with very strict form FIRST in your back workout. It's not meant to pre-exhaust the lats...it's meant to help you get your mind into the muscle so you improve the overall muscle activation during the other training you're doing.
The exercise we've got for you to accomplish this is the Straight Arm Pulldown (I also called it a Stiff-Arm Pushdown).
