Subject: Can I hold 1,105 lbs on my back for a full minute?...
This is 1,105 lbs on my back... and my goal was to hold it in a support for 1 minute.Did I make it? You'll have to watch and see... (YouTube link) I currently weigh 174 lbs (and I'm 52 years old), so this was about 6.3 times my bodyweight. In the video, you'll hear my "steam engine" breathing technique, too (it's interesting...works great for stuff like this). Now, in general, heavy supports like this are incredible for developing connective tissue strength. The time spent under heavy load creates and incredibly strong stimulus for the body to build that connective tissue. I also have a program that uses connective training called "Return to Prime" (it's specifically targeted for training to maintain and build muscle after 40). ----------------------------Nick Nilsson P.S.
