Subject: Back-Off Bench Flyes... forces a STRONG contraction in the pecs
This one gave me a massive stretch at the bottom AND a great contraction at the top. You've got your upper back off the end of the bench (knees braced against a bar either set in the rack or on a Smith machine). This frees up your shoulder blades during the flye, which I find helpful during the exercise. I also find that the lack of back support creates a more "pull-centric" environment for the pecs to work in (for lack of a better term). With nothing to push against, the pecs have to pull more in order to bring the weights up. Get the full setup info here... Nick Nilsson P.S.
