On your marks…
The annual Colorado Shops for Kids campaign begins Saturday, May 1, and you’ll have to move quickly to take full advantage of the discount coupons at nearly 100 of your favorite independent shops and restaurants in the Cherry Creek North, South Gaylord Street, South Pearl Street, Lowry, the Village Shops at Landmark and other great neighborhoods. The $50 coupon books go on sale at participating retailers on Saturday (see the complete list at www.coloradokids.org), and the vouchers in the book are good from Saturday through May 14. Shop fast, but comprehensively, because all the money you spend on the books benefits the Colorado Children’s Campaign, the state’s leading nonpartisan, nonprofit organization working to improve the lives of Colorado’s more than 1.2 million children by advocating for increased access to quality health care and improvements in K-12 education and early childhood experiences.
