Sportswear starts at 25 cents at Colorado Timberline
             
Colorado Timberline is blowing out millions of pieces of overstock clothing --- both imprinted and blank -- and other promotional products. T-shirts and mugs are 25 cents; imprinted polyester blankets are 50 cents; polo and sport shirts for men, women and children are $2.50 to $5.75, and men’s and women’s microfiber jackets, designed to retail for $66 are $10.75. The Colorado Timberline Overstock Sale runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through May at 9911 E. 47th Ave. (just north of Interstate 70 between Peoria and Quebec), www.coloradotimberline.com.

            *The public may wander freely among retail and wholesale dealers selling minerals, fossils, gems, jewelry and lapidary materials at the Spring Mineral & Fossil Show, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, April 23, and Saturday, April 24; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 25 at the Holiday Inn, 4849 Bannock St., 303-292-9500.

            * Earth Day Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April, 22, west lawn of Civic Center Park, free activities, displays and Earth friendly exhibits from non-profit organizations, private companies and city agencies.

 

Rubber Duck clearance

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 24, overstocked rubber ducks and artisan soaps are discounted by 25 percent to 50 percent, and there’s a 10 percent storewide discount.

A $20 haircut can help save children, the Earth
           
Two Denver salons are offering $20 haircuts for children and men during charity cut-a-thons. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 25, Salon Tobie Spa, 200 Quebec St., 303-366-4247, www.salontobie.com, will give 100 percent of Cut-a-Thon proceeds to Childhelp, www.childhelp.org, a national non-profit dedicated to raising public awareness of child abuse.  And proceeds from the $20 haircuts at the Cut-a-Thon from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 26 at Headlines, the Washington Park Salon, 284 S. Downing St. 303-777-9251, will go to Western Resource Advocates, a Boulder environmental law non-profit focused on water, energy and land management policy.
