From the moment Venus enters Leo (9:47 AM), her first order of business is to oppose Pluto and confront him with her complaints, suspicions and demands. Here on earth, the influence of this planetary power play could mean that someone gets in your face today (or vice versa) because they feel overlooked or betrayed. Luckily, the afternoon hours bring a flow of beneficial energy from the level-headed transiting Capricorn Moon to Jupiter and Saturn, which suggests an accord is reached. Tuesday, June 6. If you found yourself caught up in drama yesterday, take heart that today's steady energy will help you get back on track. This is a good day to establish career goals, work with the public or take some type of action that will cement your reputation as an expert in your field. While the overall energy of the day is very good, try to take advantage of some very fortunate connections (4:00 - 7:00 PM) between the transiting Capricorn Moon and Uranus (originality), Mercury (ideas, communications) and Neptune (vision). If you need to brainstorm something or develop a plan further, these influences will support your efforts. Wednesday, June 7. You're likely to feel an air of tension on and off throughout the day. As the transiting Aquarius moon engages in a series of stressful aspects that could make it harder to focus on the task at hand, so you'll do well to pay extra attention to details. The evening hours (7:00 - 10:00 PM) warn of the potential for an emotional outburst if one jumps to conclusions or overreacts to a situation. This can be avoided with patience and a level head. Thursday, June 8. Yesterday's tense energy continues today as challenging aspects from the transiting Aquarius Moon to Uranus and Mercury suggest a sudden interruption or unexpected news. Another possibility is that you could feel a sense of urgency that causes you to act quickly, impulsively or simply rush through tasks. Today's energy is a welcome change thanks to the influence of the peaceful transiting Pisces Moon (since 6:15 AM), which offers the perfect energetic backdrop for today's Mercury-Neptune sextile. When Mercury and Neptune collaborate in this way, they not only bring an opportunity to establish a clear vision, but to establish a clear plan for it as well. The influence of the transiting Moon's interplay with Jupiter and Saturn offer additional support, suggesting that today's dreams could be lasting ones. Saturday, June 10. Whether you spend the day on your own or with loved ones, you can count on the calming influence of the Pisces moon to help you relax and unwind. This is also a good day for spiritual work such as meditation and intuitive development, as well as artistic ventures and solitary pursuits.
Sunday, June 11. Today brings a dynamic shift in the energy as Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn (12:46 AM), Mercury moves into Gemini (6:27 AM) and the transiting Moon enters (9:21 AM). As the day continues, the the transiting Aries Moon makes a series of flowing aspects that help to encourage compassion, boost intimacy, enhance communications and promote relationships, but that's not the only good news! If you need to learn something quickly, get to the heart of the matter, negotiate a deal or think on your feet, you can count on today's Mercury-Pluto trine to help you succeed. And, since this energy also promotes clarity, focus and determination, it will come in handy given the simultaneous (and self-indulgent) Venus-Jupiter square that could test your sense of self-discipline. Besides tempting budgets and waistlines, the Venus-Jupiter square often brings financial opportunities that turn out to be exaggerated and new romances that start out with high hopes often end up in disappointment. Retrograde July 22 - September 3 | | As the zodiac's ruler of the 5th house, Leo is creative, expressive, confident and playful, so it should come as no surprise that while Venus is here she's enthusiastic about having fun.
And since Venus is the goddess of love, her version of fun includes romance, which is why whenever she's draped in Leo's royal robes, she feels bold, beautiful and ready for love.
Of course, not just anyone will do. To live happily-ever-after, she needs a partner who not only sets her heart on fire, but is loyal, loving, passionate, attentive, confident and willing to occasionally stand in her shadow.
While it's true Venus in Leo can be a high-maintenance partner, when she's in love, she gives as good as she gets. In fact, she can be generous to a fault, because whoever wins her heart also wins her wallet.
Unfortunately, her strong susceptibility to flattery makes her an easy target for smooth talkers, which is why the trail of broken hearts she leaves behind are often her own.
During this time, some of you could be swept off your feet by a new romance that makes you feel like you're 16 again. If so, it's fine to embrace the excitement but take it slow because on July 22, Venus will station retrograde and begin to scrutinize the relationship to assess its long-term potential.
In fact, she will reevaluate all of your relationships and that includes professional, platonic and familial ones. And so will you, because every Venus retrograde cycle is a karmic one that raises any issues that need to be addressed at the time.
And that's not all that's up for scrutiny.
Since Venus rules money, while she's in Leo many of you could be tempted to indulge yourself with extravagant purchases, spend freely on entertainment and recreational activities, children and hobbies. If you enjoy gambling, you might find yourself at a casino, a racetrack or buying scratch-offs. If so, you might want to exercise restraint to ensure you don't come down with a bad case of gambling fever.
When Venus stations retrograde on July 22, she'll review her balance sheets, reassess her financial health and if need be, revise her financial strategy in time to implement it after she goes direct on September 3.
And she'll insist you do the same.
Besides relationships and money, Venus rules our self-worth and personal values and while during her visit to the Lion's den she focuses on the activities and relationships that give her pleasure and allow her to express her true nature.
Likewise, during this time many of you will feel more inclined to focus on the interests and relatioships that bring you the most happiness.
Comes July 22, Venus will look deeply within as she reconsiders who and what matters the most to her, so that by the time she goes direct on September 3, she will have a clear vision of where her priorities lie.
And yes, she'll insist you do this as well.
Whenever Venus is in Leo, there's a spotlight somewhere that is shining brightly on her. If not, then she’s standing in the wings waiting for her big break, because deep down in her soul, she knows that it’s simply a question of when, not if, the limelight will find her.
The same is true for you. In most cases, recognition doesn't come in the form of worldwide fame, national distinction or any type of public attention.
Instead, it comes as a simple sentence, a gesture or a tail wag that recognizes you as the light in someone's else's life. | | PLUTO RETROGRADES INTO CAPRICORN
June 11 - October 10, 2023 | | On May 5, Pluto stationed retrograde in Aquarius, and on June 11 it will move back into Capricorn where it will continue to move in reverse motion until it stations direct at 27°53' Capricorn on October 10. Although its sign is changing, it's purpose remains the same, which iis to identify and purge toxic thoughts, beliefs and relationships from our lives so we can create a more healthy, purposeful and fulfilling life when Pluto moves forward. While Pluto's sign change will have a strong impact on those of you with planets or sensitive points at 26°-29° of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries and Libra, it won't be noticed in a significant way by most of you. The reason it won't be that noteworthy is that when moves back into Capricorn, its energetic signature will return to the same familiar frequency that you've been living with since 2008. However, this shift will be felt very strongly on the mundane (national/global) level as Pluto works to tie up any loose ends as it nears the end of a journey that it won't repeat for several hundred years. It's Time for Pluto to Finish What it Started From June 11, 2023 - January 22, 2024 (and then from September 1 - November 19), Pluto will continue to expose corruption in government, big business and other powerful entities that wield authority so that it can be purged from these systems and recreated in a new form. As I've said many times in the past, the legacy of the seven exact squares between Uranus and Pluto that occurred from 2012 - 2015 is a divided nation that continues to ask "Whose side are you on?" And that's why whether or not Pluto in Capricorn brings the outcome you desire is going to depend upon your political viewpoint - and whose side you're on. | | TRANSITING MERCURY IN GEMINI
June 11 - 26, 2023 | | Since Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini, whenever he's here we get a double dose of his energy and a strong reminder that for the next few weeks it's time to spread our intellectual wings.
Truth be told, Mercury in Gemini isn't particular about how we go about it. While it could be through reading, research or formal education, it could also be accomplished by exploring local destinations, attending lecture or simply engaging in conversations with other people. The only thing that matters is that we get it done.
Fortunately, we can count on Mercury in Gemini's restless, curious energy to inspire us to indulge our minds at an intellectual banquet where we can keep going back for seconds and never put on a single pound! | |
