Dear Stargazers,

Warning: This is a big newsletter (and there may be more than a few typos but at this point I had to stop editing and just get it out!)

There are two significant cosmic events this week: Jupiter conjunct the North Node (destiny moments) and a full moon in Sagittarius.

What do they mean for you?

My insights are below, along with your weekly astrology forecast and a special (limited quantity) offer, but first a new podcast!

As the planet of abundance, Jupiter transits inspire great expectations. Unfortunately, they don’t always deliver and when that happens, it's easy to feel like the victim of a giant cosmic ripoff.

In this episode of Shortcut to the Soul, I share the top 5 reasons why Jupiter transits disappoint so if it’s going to happen, you can see it coming, adjust your expectations and avoid a Jupiter letdown. Click here to listen now!

YOUR WEEKLY ASTROLOGY FORECAST

MAY 29 - JUNE 4, 2023

All dates and times are given in EDT

Monday, May 29. If you have social plans this Memorial Day, you can count on the transiting Moon in Libra (since 10:51 AM) to help make them a success. This is a lovely day to catch up with friends, devote time to loved ones, focus on things you enjoy and, if your wallet permits, engage in a bit of retail therapy.

Tuesday, May 30. Yesterday's harmony continues throughout the day. The only potential interruption to this otherwise peaceful mood comes from a brief but awkward exchange between the Moon and Mercury (1:00 - 2:00 PM) that can be easily sidestepped with a little mindfulness.

Wednesday, May 31. Today's lengthy Void Moon (10:54 AM - 7:46 PM) says it's best to stick to routine manners and activities that don't require a specific outcome or definite result. That said, this could be a tough day for some of you.

That said, the influence of a minor but still impactful connection between the Moon and Neptune (1:00 - 2:30 PM) could find sensitive types feeling a bit wobbly. If so, take heart that it's just the energy and you'll regain your balance once it passes.

As the day goes on, an intense meeting between the Moon and Pluto (6:00 - 7:30 PM) warns of a strong knee-jerk reaction that could reek of jealousy or resentment in response to a comment or some type of unwelcome news. If so, the Void Moon is likely to work in your favor as its indefinite influence suggests nothing will come of the matter, paving the way to let bygones be bygones.

Thursday, June 1. If you feel more focused, guarded or passionate today, you're channeling the energy of the transiting Scorpio Moon. This can be a highly productive day for getting things done, because this influence supports concentrated efforts. The only caveat is that throughout the day the Moon makes a series of minor aspects that could potentially trigger ego-related conflicts if you (or another) tend to be thin-skinned. However, as long as you're aware of the influence, you should be able to avoid or if need be diffuse, any potential challenges.

Friday, June 2. Today is easily the best day of the week, though in fairness those of you who are energetically sensitive could be feeling a bit of the tension from tomorrow's full moon. But even if that is the case, you'll benefit from the heart-warming energy of today's Venus-Neptune trine.

Whether it's your dreams, your imagination or your heart, you can count on today's energy to inspire soul-centered aspirations, connections and expressions. Since Neptune's nature is an ethereal one, it will be easy to just sit back and dream about what you're going to do in the future.

Although there's nothing wrong with just feeling good, I strongly encourage you to work with (and not waste) this energy because Neptune is a powerful influence for manifesting.

That's why it's important to take some type of action to solidify whatever you're being inspired to do. It can be as simple as writing an intention or an affirmation. By making a clear declaration, you're establishing a starting point and will be on your way to manifesting it as a reality.

As an added bonus, you'll be doing so under the influence of today's beneficial Jupiter-North Node conjunction in Taurus. (More on this below.)

Finally, although these influences are in effect all day, they're strengthened from 4:00 - 9:00 PM, during which time the transiting Scorpio Moon makes a series of aspects starting with a trine to Neptune that's followed by a trine to Venus a few hours later before it ends the day with a sextile (ease) to the transiting Moon's planetary ruler (Pluto).

Saturday, June 3. Full Moon in Sagittarius. Scroll down to read about its influence.

Sunday, June 4. Today's Mercury-Uranus conjunction comes right on the heels of yesterday's Full Moon, and for many of you it will be a decisive day as you resolve to break free of the limitations that this lunation brought to light.

On the upside, the Mercury-Uranus conjunction inspire a breakthrough or a brilliant idea. While it's quite possible for insights to come instantly and out of the blue, it's best to take a step back and consider it from all angles to ensure that it's viable before you commit to it, because the downside of this energy is that it can promote impulsive decisions that overlook important details.

On a physical level, a sense of urgency could find you rushing about, which could potentially result in injuries. Under this influence, it's best to slow down and exercise caution, especially if you're driving or traveling. Even if you're feeling calm, cool and collected, it doesn't mean the people you encounter share your state of mind, so be careful out there!

TRANSITING JUPITER CONJUNCT THE NORTH NODE

June 1-2, 2023

Astronomically speaking, whereas Jupiter is a planet, the lunar nodes are points in space where the Sun, Moon and Earth intersect to create eclipses.

Astrologically speaking, the lunar nodes are evolutionary guides, and as they shift signs, they introduce new themes into the collective consciousness. When planets align with them in a hard aspect (conjunction, square, opposition), they often coincide with events that turn out to be destiny moments.

From June 1-2, transiting Jupiter will conjunct the north node at 3° Taurus (and oppose the lunar node at 3° Scorpio).

Collectively Speaking

From a mundane perspective, it's easy to see how this aspect speaks to the USA's current debt crisis: Excessive (Jupiter) spending (Taurus) is why the nation is in this mess and its resolution will affect the future (and destiny) of the nation.

Since the North Node is where we need to evolve, we should be taking action to work with the higher nature of Jupiter in Taurus and increase (Jupiter) our financial resources (Taurus).

The South Node is what we need to release, and in this case it's in Scorpio (debt). The opposition (confrontation) from Jupiter (waste) in Taurus (spending) to the South Node (let it go) in Scorpio (debt) is about making a choice that will ultimately restore balance (also represented by the opposition).

Although the details haven't been fully released, a tentative deal has been reached to expand (Jupiter) the debt ceiling for the next two years so we can continue to borrow (and spend) to pay our debts.

And that brings us to the destiny moment. If the measure fails in Congress, the nation will experience economic chaos and impact its immediate destiny. If it passes, we'll find out in 2025 if today's actions destined us for greater financial wholeness or for a greater financial crisis.

Personally Speaking

On a personal level, you're much more likely to experience the Jupiter-Node conjunction if it is making an aspect to a planet or sensitive point in your chart. That said, we can all benefit from the awareness it brings and work with its energy to improve our lives.

The house that receives the Jupiter-North Node conjunction in your chart describes the life areas where you have the opportunity to grow and evolve. The house that holds the South Node describes the life areas where you have an opportunity to release what no longer serves you.

If you don't know which house holds 3°' Taurus in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where the new moon falls according to your rising sign (if you know it). FULL MOON at 13°18' SAGITTARIUS
June 3, 2023 • 11:43 PM EDT

This month's full moon is in Sagittarius, and while the trine from Mars fuels this adventurous, enthusiastic and spontaneous Full Moon with drive and motivation, the square from Saturn feeds its noble spirit with doubt, dread and despair as it challenges it to confront its limitations.

Making it even more uncomfortable is the fact that cheerleader Mars and gloom-and-doom Saturn are quincunx each other, which means they are unable to find any type of common ground. Since both planets aspect the full moon, their discomfort is also the Moon's discomfort.

Unfortunately, that's not where it ends. The full moon is quincunx the Mercury-Uranus conjunction, which is likely to create tension because it suggests that some type of adjustment is necessary that doesn't feel emotionally comfortable.

At this point, it's not sounding like a fortunate full moon, but just like the centaur who is half-man and half-beast, this lunation actually offers us two distinctly different outcomes.

Sink or Swim

With fearful influences from Saturn and tension-provoking ones from the Mercury-Uranus conjunction that diminish the Sagittarias Moon's natural optimism and/or insists on an uncomfortable adjustment, its possible that the stimulating flow of energy from Mars could intensify the Moon's anxiety. If that's the case, the energy of this full moon will be nothing short of discouraging, and many of you could find yourself sinking into despair.

Thankfully, that's not the only possible scenario, because 30+ years as a predictive astrologer has taught me that when a planet is simultaneously aspected by a square and trine, wonderful things can happen, such as:

Forced to confront its limitations as shown to it by Saturn, the naturally optimistic Moon takes a leap of faith with a bold action (trine from Mars in Leo) and despite an uncomfortable adjustment, (Mercury-Uranus quincunx) uses the hard energy as a springboard to overcome its fears and successfully swim to shore.

The Choice is Yours

While there's no getting away from Saturn's sobering influence on this full moon, there's no need to fear it or be a victim of it. Whatever you're being shown at this time is meant to give you clarity to help you overcome the stumbling blocks in your path. Although the quincunx from the Mercury-Uranus conjunction indicates a need for adjustment, the flowing energy from Mars in Leo will see you through it.

Getting Personal

So which areas are being targeted for illumination, fruition or an ending?

Or to paraphrase John Wayne, where will you be scared to death but will saddle up anyway?

The answer is revealed by the house in your horoscope that's receiving the full moon.

If you don't know which house holds 13°18' Sagittarius in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where the new moon falls according to your rising sign (if you know it). If you don't know your rising sign, then refer to the list below according to your solar (sun-sign based) horoscope.

If your Sun sign is:

Aries, the full moon falls in your solar 9th house of foreign travel, higher education, legal matters and publishing.

Taurus, the full moon falls in your solar 8th house of intimacy, other people's money and support, jointly-held assets and transformation.

Gemini, the full moon falls in your solar 7th house of lawsuits and one-to-one relationships.

Cancer, the full moon falls in your solar 6th house of work, health, service and pets.

Leo, the full moon falls in your solar 5th house of romance, children, creativity.

Virgo, the full moon falls in your solar 4th house of home, family, real estate, parents and intuition.

Libra, the full moon falls in your solar 3rd house of siblings, short trips, transportation and all types of communications.

Scorpio, the full moon falls in your solar 2nd house of money, income, values and self-worth.

Sagittarius, the full moon falls in your solar 1st house - it's all about you, including your approach to life and physical appearance.

Capricorn, the full moon falls in your solar 12th house of solitude, secrets, past lives, healing and psychic abilities.

Aquarius, the full moon falls in your solar 11th house of goals, casual friends, colleagues and group relationships.

Pisces, the full moon falls in your solar 10th house of career, status and fame.

Releasing with the Sagittarius Full Moon

You can set release anything under any full moon but when it happens to be in the sign of the Archer, it's especially favorable for releasing:

Negative beliefs or fears connected to success, justice, religion, abundance, travel, philanthropy and foreign people or places.

Traits or tendencies related to arrogance, hypocrisy, rudeness, wastefulness, overindulgence, fanaticism, bigotry, laziness and dishonesty.

Since I will have the time to do so while I'm on my sabbatical from astrology readings, I am opening up six one-off spots for mentoring sessions for those of you would like to work with me 1:1 to uplevel your astrological skills in a specific area of natal analysis, transit work or compatibility.

Sessions are 60 minutes long and will be conducted via Zoom (you will receive a copy of the video and audio files). Sessions are $200.00 and can be scheduled from June 19 to July 21, including weekends.

If you are interested in taking advantage of this offer, please email me directly at debra@debraclementastrologer.com, and let me know what you are interested in learning from me. Likewise, feel free to email me with any questions!
