Dear Stargazers,
After being flooded with emails these past few weeks, I am going to address the burning question so many of you have asked me.
Is the USA going to war now that Uranus is going into Gemini?
For those of you who may not be familiar with past USA war cycles:
Pluto in Aquarius coincided with the American Revolutionary War, which among other things was spurred on by the ever increasing taxation (Pluto) without representation (Aquarius).
Neptune in Aries coincided with the American Civil War, which was about slavery (Neptune) and the rights of the individual (Aries).
Uranus in Gemini not only coincided with the American Revolutionary War and the American Civil War, but it was also present during WWII.
Why is Uranus in Gemini an astrological predictor of war for the USA?
Obviously, astrologers view Uranus in Gemini as a predictor of war for the USA because it was present during the American Revolutionary War, the American Civil War and World War II.
But why would this transit coincide with war?
The answer can be found in mundane astrology, the branch of astrology that focuses on global/national events and societal changes.
According to mundane astrology, transiting Uranus is associated with political revolutions, economic upheaval, civil unrest, supply chain disruptions and technological innovations.
When Uranus is in Gemini, it spends most of its time in the USA's 7th house (Sibley chart) of relationships, which includes competitors, adversaries and open enemies. Given Uranus's unpredictable, defiant and inflammatory nature, it makes sense that its presence could coincide with conflicts, wars or surprise attacks.
Will the USA go to war while Uranus is in Gemini?
The reason it's likely to occur while Uranus is in Gemini is because cycles repeat.
The American Revolutionary War began when Uranus was at 8° Gemini, the Civil War began when Uranus was at 9° Gemini (and experienced its first Uranus return), and the USA entered WWII when Uranus was at 27° Taurus after having spent several months at 0° Gemini.
Looking ahead, transiting Uranus reaches 0° Gemini on July 7, where it remains until November 8 when it retrogrades back into Taurus.
While there could be a major development before the end of this year (and honestly, some days I feel like we're about to go to war any day now), I feel the USA could be in a full-blown war in the first quarter of 2026.
Astrological Analysis
From December 30 - March 11, 2026, transiting Uranus will be at 27° Taurus, the same position it held when Pearl Harbor was attacked and the USA entered WWII.
What is notable about Uranus at 27° Taurus is that it squares the nation's Moon (general population, land, agriculture, oceans, women) in the third house (news, communications, ground transportation, roads, bridges, inland waterways, distribution systems).
Looking back at Pearl Harbor, not only was it news of a shocking event, but it was one that changed public opinion about the war from a "let's not get involved" attitude to one of enthusiastic support. It also changed the role of women as scores left their traditional role as a homemaker and entered the workforce (Rosie the Riveter).
On February 17, the solar eclipse at 28°50' Aquarius will conjunct the USA's natal Moon (general public, agriculture, land, buildings, oceans, women) at the same time that transiting Uranus is squaring it (and squaring the eclipse as well).
This will be followed by the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries on February 20, which is on the 4th house cusp (the people, land, buildings, agriculture) opposite the USA's Midheaven (national reputation and status). This influence will already be in effect for some time before it is exact..
Having Saturn and Neptune at the lowest point in the USA's horoscope is not a position of strength, and its location at the bottom of the chart during the solar eclipse to the nation's moon concerns me, because there is a double dose of energy focused on 4th house/Moon matters (the people, land, buildings, agriculture, women).
Furthermore, this planetary combination can easily suggest a nationwide state of mourning or depression.
On March 3, the lunar eclipse at 12°54 Virgo falls in the USA's 9th house (foreign affairs, treaties, international transportation), which suggests something is coming to light or to a head.
In addition to making a square to the Ascendant (the nation) and the Descendant (adversaries), the eclipse makes a (wide) conjunction to Neptune (scandals, oil, gas, chemicals, sadness, propaganda, faith), which rules the USA's 3rd house (news, communications, ground transportation, roads, bridges, inland waterways, distribution systems) and makes a sextile the nation's Sun (president) in the 7th house (adversaries).
That's a lot to unpack, and since the influence of the lunar eclipse will be in effect from February 3, my feeling is that a lunar eclipse-related event in or connected to the USA will make global headlines in February or March, and it may be of such a nature that we go to (or are brought into a) war. On that note, I am not excluding the possibility of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty.
Based upon these influences, I feel that if the USA is able to sidestep going to war during 2026, it will go to war in 2027. Not only will the nation experience another Uranus return in June 2027 that will activate the Civil War chart, its chart will be challenged by the summer's eclipses, as well as by Saturn and Neptune. If by some chance we are at war before the end of 2025, then 2026 is going to be a very rough year.
Can the 2026 influences be something other than war?
Absolutely. All of these transits and eclipses can speak to events other than war, such as real estate, oil and gas, court challenges, news wars, weather-related events, natural disasters or even (but hopefully not) another pandemic.
In reality, it may turn out to be many different events, but since the question was specifically about the possibility of the USA going to war, that was the sole focus of the planetary analysis (plus I didn't have the time to write about all of the other possibilities).
At the end of the day, none of it is written in stone, and all of it is simply my astrological opinion. I'm not perfect, I'm not always right, and in this case, I'll be very, very happy to be very, very wrong. 😁
