Subject: Transiting Sun-Node ✨ Mercury Goes Deep ✨ Your Daily Astrology Forecast 💫

Dear Stargazers,

Although the week starts off on a positive and productive note, as it goes on you''ll need to dance around a few void moon periods if you want to maintain your momentum. When Friday rolls around, it ushers in the potential for a serious conflict that could extend into the weekend. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be that way if you focus on the energetic life line the heavens throws our way on Saturday.

On Tuesday, the transiting Sun will aspect the lunar nodes and around that time (it could occur the day before), there's likely to be a significant global event or decision. On a personal level, some of you may experience a sobering realization about something in your life.

On Thursday, Mercury exits Libra and heads into Scorpio, where he's not afraid to get his hands dirty.

It's all below, so let's get to it!

ASTROLOGY FORECAST
October 16 - 22, 2023
All dates and times are given in EDT.

Monday, October 16. The ability to focus, research and think strategically, as well as detect BS when you hear it, gets a boost from the transiting Scorpio Moon. If you've been trying to sort out a problem, a situation or a relationship, there's a very good chance you'll figure it out before the day is over. Likewise, this influence is excellent for working on complex projects or assignments.

Tuesday, October 17. Since the transiting Scorpio Moon will be void from 11:44 AM - 3:38 PM, it's best to finalize important decisions, meetings or activities that require a definite outcome before or after this time frame.

When the transiting Moon enters Sagittarius at 3:38 PM, you can count on its energy to lift your spirits and perhaps inspire a dream or two.

The transiting Sun aspects the lunar nodes today. Details below.

Wednesday, October 18. Think before you commit to plans, deadlines or projects now, because with today's optimistic, enthusiastic and expansive energy, you could unintentionally over commit yourself and end up promising more than you can deliver.

However, if you steer clear of biting off more than you can chew, this can be a very productive day, especially if you're passionate about whatever it is you're doing.

Thursday, October 19. Although yesterday's vibrant energy flows into today, the good news is that there is less of a chance that you'll spread yourself too thin. In fact, there's a good chance you'll be tempted to take a long lunch (or perhaps a midday nap).

If so, you need to be mindful that the transiting Sagittarius Moon will be void from 3:04 PM - 9:56 PM, so if there's anything important that needs a definite outcome, the clock will be ticking.

Transiting Mercury enters Scorpio today. Details below.

Friday, October 20. Today's energy is a mixed bag, and how it manifests in your life will depend on a large degree on how you work with it.

The transiting Moon in Capricorn (since 9:56 PM yesterday) puts a focus on career, ambition and one's personal and/or professional status and its series of fortunate aspects to Mars, Venus and Jupiter suggests that you could be pleased with where your are and/or where you're heading.

However, if you don't pay close attention to your ego, it could get the best of you because the Sun-Mercury conjunction not only encourages you to think about yourself, but to talk about yourself as well.

Unfortunately, this isn't the best day to engage in self-promotion, because Mercury happens to be squaring Pluto and the Sun (ego) is very close to squaring it (exact tomorrow), which warns that you could come on too strong.

More specifically, if you're not conscious of these influences and someone disagrees with you, there's a good chance that you will relentlessly try to convince them why their view is wrong, and you won't be satisified unless they yield to your opinion.

Alternatively, it's possible that someone could be intent on convincing you that you're wrong about something. In either case, the best way to end the scenario is for one of you to stop participating in it.

If you're mindful about how you express yourself and act quickly to nip potential disagreements in the bud, you should be able to sidestep this influence.

Saturday, October 21. If you found yourself in the crosshairs of a tense discussion with someone yesterday, the morning could find some of you licking your wounds, while the Sun-Pluto square could inspire those who are still burned up about it to consider going back for a second round.

Fortunately, there's a much better alternative, which is to embrace the energy of today's uplifting Venus-Jupiter trine. Whenever the lesser fortune (Venus) and greater fortune (Jupiter) are in perfect harmony, their combined influence promotes happiness, success, beauty and prosperity.

While love (including self-love) and money are high on the list, this influence can enhance any and all life areas, and since this influence doesn't come around that often, you don't want to waste it.

So whether it's related to romance, shopping, dining, social activities, creative endeavors, an at-home spa day or anything else that makes you feel great, do it!

Sunday, October 22. With the transiting Moon in Aquarius (2:02 AM), some of you will wake up inspired to seek out some friendly company and/or catch up on world affairs, while others will want their personal space.

Whatever you choose to do, you can count on the positive influence of today's Mercury-Saturn trine to support your efforts. Under this influence, it's easier to connect with people and make plans, as well as absorb, analyze and digest new information.

If you choose to spend some alone time with your thoughts today, you can expect to gain clarity about your life, and if there's a particular situation that you would like to change, this influence can help you come up with a solid plan to do so.

TRANSITING SUN-NODE ASPECTS

October 17, 2023

As the transiting Sun opposes the transiting Aries North Node (where we're headed), it also conjuncts the Libra South Node (where we've been). Since this is a transiting aspect, it has a strong universal influence that is likely to manifest as a mundane event.

When it comes to transits, conjunctions to the south node often speak to some type of release or loss, and since the planet involved is the Sun, it can suggest anything from a bruised ego to a total loss of confidence or, since the Sun represents the life force, it could coincide with diminished strength, pride or willpower. In mundane astrology, the Sun specifically represents a nation's leader.

Collectively speaking, and in light of the ongoing wars, given that the Sun is opposing the north node in Aries (war) and conjunct the south node in Libra (mediation, peace) , this transit could coincide with a defeat or setback for one side and/or a major setback for establishing peace.

Since the Sun represents a nation's ruler, its conjunction to the south node suggests that one or more world leaders could suffer a loss of face this week. While this could be a leader of a nation at war, it isn't limited to that scenario.

Of note is that in the USA's chart, this Sun-node conjunction in Libra takes place in the nation's 10th house, which represents the president, while the Aries north node is in the nation's 4th house (public buildings, agriculture, the people of the nation). And both transiting nodes square the nation's Mercury (communications, general trade and commerce) in its 7th house (open warfare).

Given the foregoing, it will be interesting to see if there are any announcements or actions around this time from the White House that could potentially embarrass the administration, bring the USA closer to war or provokes protests and/or civil unrest.

On an individual level, the house that holds the transiting Sun-South Node conjunction describes one or more areas where you may experience a sense of depletion, loss or disappointment in your life.

Alternatively, this transit could simply illuminate what you need to release in order to shine as an individual.

Generally speaking, do you pay too much attention to what other people think? Do you find it hard to disagree with other people's opinions? Are you hesitant to act if others don't approve of your ideas? Do you only feel comfortable leading by consensus?

TRANSITING MERCURY IN SCORPIO

October 22 - November 10, 2023

Since Mercury is the planetary ruler of the mind, whenever he's in Scorpio his attention is focused, his memory is sharp and his mental stamina is second to none.

He also has carte blanche to indulge his curiosity about anything and anyone that piques his interest, which means that while he's here he will scrutinize every word, dissect every action and if need be, eavesdrop on conversations, read emails, diaries and financial statements.

While that may sound intrusive and in some instances illegal, everything is fair game under Pluto's rule.

However, there is a code of honor in the Underworld, and discretion is an integral part of it.

That's why although Mercury is the zodiac's designated communicator, while he's in Scorpio he is tight-lipped and shares information on a need-to-know basis. In fact, as long as he's here, you won't catch him gossiping, spilling his guts or divulging secrets that he swore he would take to his grave.

However, you will find him holding grudges and daydreaming about revenge. When Mercury is in Scorpio, he's an avid scorekeeper.

But that's not all he'll be doing.

You'll also find him investigating cold cases, writing mystery novels, researching medical issues, inspecting financial reports, reading tarot cards, fact-checking news stories, studying the criminal mind or any other topic that others consider fearful or taboo.

And truth be told, that's where he'll devote most of his time, because while he's in Scorpio, he's all about the deep dive.
