Subject: Solar Eclipse ✨ Pluto ✨ Mars ✨ Daily Forecast & More 💫

Dear Stargazers,

There are some major planetary shifts occurring this week. On Tuesday, Pluto stations direct and while we have experienced this cycle numerous times, as I discuss below this one is a bit different.

And on Wednesday, transiting Mars enters Scorpio where, after weeks of playing by Libra's rules, he not only regains his strength, but his control.

Although Pluto's change in direction and Mars's ingress are newsworthy events, it's Saturday's solar eclipse that deserves everyone's attention. It's common for eclipse-related events to occur early, and yesterday we saw an explosive example of this month's eclipses (10/14 and 10/28).

I discuss this and more below, and if you're interested in learning about eclipse aspects, check out this podcast from 5 years ago. ⬇️

ECLIPSE ASPECTS TO NATAL PLANETS

With the solar eclipse happening on Saturday and the lunar eclipse occurring on October 28, I thought I'd remind everyone that I did a podcast about eclipse aspects to natal planets.

PLUTO STATIONS DIRECT

October 10, 2023

Since it takes Pluto 240 years to travel through the zodiac, we experience a significant number direct and retrograde cycles in the same sign. When you consider that transformation is a process that doesn't happen overnight, its easy to understand why it's slow-going.

As we near the end of Pluto's journey in Capricorn, we're getting down to the wire.

Once Pluto stations direct, it will make a beeline for Aquarius (January 20), where it will remain until it returns to Capricorn on September 1 to begin it's farewell tour. From September 1 - November 19, Pluto will spend all of its transiting the sign's final degree (29°), at which time it will move into Aquarius for a 20-year stay.

Although outer planets coincide with periods of evolution, they do not determine their outcome. Pluto's role is to transform what it touches, but how that metamorphosis turns out depends upon whether its energy was used to empower or to control, to purify or to corrupt.

On that note, it's no coincidence that Pluto will be ending its journey in Capricorn (government and its authoritative agencies) at the time of the USA's presidential election. For better or worse, it will be a culminating event of Pluto's transformative influence over the past 15 years, which included the nation's Pluto return.

Getting Personal

Every time Pluto is retrograde, it's time to turn your vision inward and determine who and/or what needed to be purged from your life because it was no longer aligned with your soul's purpose.

And every time Pluto stations direct (like now), it's time to act on that knowledge and take steps to make transformative changes in your life. The house in your chart where Pluto is moving direct reveals the life areas where it's time to purge what (or who) no longer serves you and/or implement changes that empower you.

If you don't know which house holds 27°53' of Capricorn in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where Pluto is visiting in your chart according to your rising sign (if you know it). If you don't know your rising sign, then refer to the list below according to your solar (sun-sign based) horoscope.

TRANSITING MARS IN SCORPIO
October 11 - November 24, 2023

Although Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio, Mars is its sub-ruler because he ruled the Underworld long before Pluto came along and took the throne. That's why whenever Mars visits Scorpio, it feels like homecoming.

While in Scorpio, Mars can be a sinner or a saint.

If he falls prey to the shadow side of the Scorpion, he will use manipulation to achieve his objectives, and if things get intense, he can be ruthless, obsessive, controlling and vindictive.

But if Mars remains true to his noble nature, he will be forthright in his dealings and will rely on strategy, courage, determination and passion to achieve his goals.

Either way, while he's in Scorpio he takes calculated risks and plays for all the marbles, because he knows that if he goes down in flames, he will eventually rise like the Phoenix.

SOLAR ECLIPSE at 21°08' LIBRA

October 14, 2023 • 1:55 PM AM

Overview

Besides being the first eclipse since the south node entered Libra this past July, this month's solar eclipse is distinguished because it's an annular (ring of fire) one, which occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line with the earth, but the size of the Moon appears smaller than the Sun. As a result, there appears to be a ring of fire around it.

A solar eclipse occurs during a new moon, which is why it's associated with new beginnings. Beginnings can occur as an external level, such as a new job or relationship, or they can happen on an internal level, such as a new idea or a fresh perspective.

However, if there's something that needs to be cleared away before something new can take root, it can also bring about an ending.

In terms of timing, eclipse-related events often occur up to a month earlier. Not only is it common for hard aspects to coincide with a crisis, but we usually never see it coming.

On the mundane level, that was the case when Hamas attacked Israel yesterday morning.

Looking at Israel's chart, the 10/14 solar eclipse at 21°08 Libra is conjunct the Ascendant (the nation) from the12th house (spies, secret groups, hostage situations) and is opposing the 7th house (open enemies). In addition to killing civilians, according to reports hostages have been taken as well.

The 10/28 lunar eclipse at 5°09' Taurus squares its 10th house Moon. In mundane astrology, the Moon represents the public at large, who in this case are victims of this surprise attack, and the 10th house represents the nation's ruler.

Israel's current ruler is Prime Minister Netanyahu, Born on October 21, 1949 (no birth time available). Netanyahu's natal Sun is at 27° Libra, so the 10/14 solar eclipse at 21°08 Libra is within orb of conjuncting it, while transiting Pluto squares it.

Conjunctions are powerful aspects that represent beginnings and endings, and while the absence of a birth time makes it impossible to determine where it falls in Netanyahu's chart, his initiation of a counterattack and declaration of war certainly marks the beginning of a new cycle.

When Pluto is square the Sun, it is common for one's identity and strength to be tested through a personal crisis or a power struggle with an intense or vicious adversary. In extreme cases, Pluto square the Sun can coincide with a serious threat to one's health and physical well being.

A quick look at the nation's chart shows that not only will it be hit hard by the 2024 eclipses, but Pluto gets within 2° of a square to its Moon (a time to pay attention for clues) and in April the transiting Jupiter-Uranus conjunction at 22° Taurus will conjunct its 10th house Sun (23° Taurus), which could signify a change in leadership.

✨✨✨

As I mentioned earlier, the 10/14 eclipse is the first one to occur since the south node shifted into Libra. In one of my July newsletters, I included an article about what could be expected from the nodal shift into Aries and Libra and wrote:

However, their influence is always noticeable on the collective level because their evolutionary shift is expressed in the mundane world through public events. The north node sign describes where we are headed, while the the south node sign describes what we are leaving behind.

With the north node in Aries, a cardinal sign that expresses itself through bold actions, the coming shifts will be the in-your-face kind of ones that can't be ignored.

In terms of the signs themselves, Aries is a militant sign focused on individual conquest, while Libra is a diplomatic sign known focused on collaboration.

Or to be more succinct, war and peace.

During the next 18 months, we will see the theme of relationships play out on the national level in terms of us and them, as well as on the global level in terms of allies and adversaries.

We will also see a significant rise in civil unrest, a major increase in recruiting efforts by the armed forces. Sadly, many nations may have no choice but to institute a draft, and with the south node (release) in Libra, women may no longer be exempt.

Globally, nationally and/or personally, lines will be drawn, sides will be taken and fence-sitting (Libra south node) will no longer be an option. Sooner or later, everyone will choose a side.

This is just the beginning, folks. And it is not a test.

On the individual level, this eclipse is likely to be much kinder.

Since it takes place in Libra, the focus is on relationships, fairness and balance, and given that it takes place near the south node (release), some of you may need to let go of someone or something in order to achieve or restore harmony to your life. Whatever form your new beginning takes, the quincunx from the solar eclipse to Uranus suggests it's likely to require a period of adjustment.

If you have a planet or sensitive point at or near 21° of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn, you are more likely to experience an eclipse-related event.
