Dear Stargazers,

I'm sending this newsletter out early (instead of 6/30), because I want you to have it well in advance of Tuesday's solar eclipse (more on that below).

The next issue would normally be out on July 14, but given the July 16 lunar eclipse, I'll be sending that one out earlier as well.

After that, the newsletter will resume its normal every other Sunday schedule starting with the July 28 issue.

Finally, I want to remind you that I'll be sending the announcement out about my online event (Sunday, July 21 at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET) focusing on predictive astrology will be sent out the week of July 1.

With that being said, let's take a look at what the heavens have in store for us!

BEST DAYS

While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

TRANSITING MARS ENTERS LEO
July 1 - August 17, 2019.

After weeks of feeling depleted while in Cancer, Mars was more than happy to exit the sign of its fall and enter the fiery, passionate and dramatic sign of Leo.

As he sauntered into the Lion’s den, Mars could feel his confidence return, his courage increase and his passion burn. Feeling a sudden sense of pride and entitlement, he took his seat upon Leo’s throne and a drama king was born.

While Mars is in Leo, he seeks the spotlight and wants to hear the sound of applause. He also tends to take everything personally and is quick to lash out in righteous indignation against anyone who disagrees, criticizes or opposes him. That’s why while Mars is in Leo, he can be an impatient bully who when challenged is at best combative and at worst a tyrant.

Fortunately for Mars (and everyone else), while in Leo his heart also expands, along with a fun-loving nature, creative abilities and passion for life. When Mars in Leo chooses to channel his ambition through these outlets, he achieves dazzling success in the arts, builds empires, spearheads noble causes and donates generously to those less fortunate.

Depending upon the circumstances, Mars in Leo can be a dictator or a benefactor, but whether he’s presiding over a reign of terror or a peaceable kingdom, the one thing you can count on is that he'll never back down.

TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE AT 10°38' CANCER
July 2, 2019 | 3:16 PM
Washington, DC

Since a solar eclipse occurs during a new moon, it's associated with new beginnings. However, it can also bring about an ending if there's something that needs to be cleared away before something new can take root.

In terms of beginnings, it's possible that a solar eclipse can usher in a new opportunity on an external level, such as a new job or a new relationship. However, it's also possible that the fresh start it ushers in begins in your mind. In other words, a new idea or a new perspective.
Getting Personal

This month's new moon at 10°38' of Cancer is also a solar eclipse, which means its energy is intensified and therefore longer lasting. Those of you with a planet, angle or house cusp at or near 10°38' of any sign will be on the receiving end of eclipse energy, BUT you're much more likely to feel it if that planet, point or cusp is in Cancer, Capricorn, Aries or Libra.

As for the rest of you, the solar eclipse will fall somewhere in your personal horoscope, so if you want to know which life areas may be targeted for a bright new beginning or perhaps a much-needed change, look to the house that's receiving the solar eclipse in your chart.

If you don't know which house holds 10°38' of Cancer in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where the new moon falls in your solar (sun-sign based) chart.

If your Sun sign is:

Aries, it falls in your 4th house (home, family, real estate, parents).
Taurus, it falls in your solar 3rd house (siblings, neighbors, short trips, cars, contracts, negotiations.)
Gemini, it falls in your 2nd house (income, spending, personal values, self-esteem, tangible assets).
Cancer, it falls in your 1st house (your physical body, attitude towards life).
Leo, it falls in your 12th house (spirituality, creativity, mental health, addictions).
Virgo, it falls in your 11th house (groups, associations, hopes, casual friends, colleagues).
Libra, it falls in your 10th house (career, fame, status, reputation).
Scorpio, it falls in your 9th house (education, law, religion, foreign and long-distance travel, publishing).
Sagittarius, it falls in your 8th house (intimacy, shared resources, other people's support, birth, death, estate matters).
Capricorn, it falls in your 7th house (marriage and all one-to-one relationships including best friends, adversaries, business partners and clients).
Aquarius, it falls in your 6th house (health, work, pets, diet, nutrition).
Pisces, it falls in your 5th house (romance, children, creative self-expression, entertainment).

But there's more...

Ruled by the Moon, Cancer is an intuitive, nurturing and emotional sign. It's also a security-conscious one. That's why new beginnings associated with this eclipse may very well be tied to something you need to do in order to feel emotionally secure in some area of your life.

On that note, think about the life areas ruled by the house that will receive the eclipse in your chart and consider whether they could use a new dose of emotional security.

For example:

If the solar eclipse falls in your 1st house, do you need to feel more secure about your appearance?
In your 2nd house, a situation concerning your finances or perhaps your self esteem?
In your 3rd, relationships with siblings or perhaps your ability to negotiate?
In your 4th, your family, parents or your physical home?
In your 5th, children, a romantic partner, creative talents?
In your 6th, your job, health or routine?
In your 7th, committed relationships, marriage or competitors?
In your 8th, intimate unions, shared resources?
In your 9th, your education, grandchildren or beliefs?
In your 10th, your career, status or reputation?
In your 11th, your colleagues, group activities or hopes?
In your 12th, your mental health, creativity or intuitive gifts?

Manifesting with the Cancer Solar Eclipse

You can set any intention under any new moon but when it's a solar eclipse, it's energy is more powerful. As it happens, this solar eclipse is in Cancer, which favors:

Actions and affirmations to improve family relationships and domestic affairs; purchase, sell, rent or improve a residence, office or any other type of real property; find skillful caretakers, plumbers, obstetricians and landscapers

TRANSITING VENUS ENTERS CANCER
JULY 3 - 27, 2019

While it’s true that Venus can be flirty and hard to pin down, while in Cancer she’s devoted, steadfast and in it for the long haul. The Crab is nothing short of tenacious, and while Venus is here she can be possessive and more than a bit clingy.

Although she has the best intentions, her need to nurture and take care of her partner can make independent and self-sufficient types feel smothered.

However, for those who share her level of commitment and appreciate her attention, love can last from here through eternity.

As the planetary ruler of money, Venus has a strong interest in finances. Since Cancer is a frugal sign, Venus thinks twice before splurging and believes in saving for a home, emergencies, retirement and numerous rainy days. While here, she’s extremely security-minded and will review her savings plans, reconsider her investment strategies and shop in bulk. >>Read More

TRANSITING MERCURY
STATIONS RETROGRADE at 4°28' LEO
July 7 - 31, 2019 | 7:15 PM EDT

Every time Mercury goes retrograde, I'm reminded that even thought we weren't aware of them, we've experienced these cycles since we were born and managed to deal with whatever inconveniences came our way.

Now that we're aware of these cycles, we have the opportunity to make the most of them by consciously working with the energy.
