Subject: Total Solar Eclipse ✨ An Energetic Gridlock ✨ Your Daily Forecast & More 💫

Dear Stargazers,

The week kicks off with a total solar eclipse, and while it's been the focus of a media frenzy, it's all just part of a cycle. In fact, although it wasn't a total eclipse, there was a hybrid solar eclipse (an eclipse that shifts between annular and total) at 19° Aries on April 8, 2005.

To learn more about the different types of eclipses, click here, and to get an idea of how tomorrow's eclipse might affect you, think back to what was happening in your life in the spring of 2005. While it's true that tomorrow's eclipse is more powerful and the transiting planets were in different places back then, it's possible that you could see a pattern.

The Eclipse-Earthquake Connection

On a different note, there's been a lot of chatter on the internet about a connection between the solar eclipse and the recent earthquakes in Taiwan (7.5 magnitude on April 3) and New Jersey (4.6 magnitude on April 5).

Whether it's a transit to your natal chart or a transit in the heavens, the event usually occurs before the aspect is exact, and in this case there been two earthquakes before the eclipse has occurred.

That said, it's important to remember that it's not the only current planetary influence that can speak to natural disasters.

So does the transiting Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus (earth!), and its influence has been in effect ever since Jupiter came within 5° of Uranus, and during the past week, Jupiter is just 3° away from the exact aspect.

To be clear, I'm not saying the recent earthquakes are solely because of the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, but rather I don't think we should discount its influence.

The Coming Week

The undisputed main event is the solar eclipse, but you need to be mindful of Wednesday's Mars-Saturn conjunction or you could wind up being a victim of an energetic gridlock. On the other hand, you can take my advice and make it work for you. 😎

DAILY ASTROLOGY FORECAST
April 8 - 14, 2024
All dates and times are given in EDT.

Monday, April 8

The Aries total solar eclipse occurs at 2:21 PM EDT. Details below.

At 10:39 PM, the transiting Aries moon goes void for the rest of the evening.

Tuesday, April 9

When the transiting Moon enters Taurus at 7:24 AM, it's immediately challenged by Pluto, which means that those of you who are already up and about could experience some type of internal struggle. However, this is more likely to be the case if you have been feeling resentful about something.

Since this aspect can promote anxiety, it's more likely that you just feel a bit edgy. If so, you can expect to feel more relaxed once the influence has faded (10:00 AM), and from that point on you can expect the day to go much more smoothly.

Given the energetic start to the day, it might be a good idea to make time to engage in some type of soothing activity so that you end the day on a relaxing and positive note.

Wednesday, April 10

Although a very positive flow of energy from the transiting Taurus Moon to Mars, Saturn and Jupiter suggests it will be a rewarding day, the extent of your success will depend largely on how you handle the influence of today's Mars-Saturn conjunction in Pisces.

Whenever Mars (action) and Saturn (limitation) team up in a conjunction, they create an energetic gridlock that promotes delays and blockages because every time Mars tries to advance, Saturn holds up a Stop sign.

However, it doesn't have to be that way if you work with the energy, and since this conjunction takes place in a mutable (flexible, adaptable) sign, it will be easier than usual to do so.

And the key to making this energy work for you is to satisfy Saturn by moving forward (Mars) in an organized, well-planned, responsible and disciplined manner that will satisfy the taskmaster's standards.

If you do, not only will Saturn waive you on, but he will contribute clarity and perseverance to help you accomplish your goal.

Thursday, April 11

After a brief void (6:05 AM), the pace picks up when the transiting Moon enters Gemini at 8:59 AM, and with Mercury Rx making a conjunction to the Aries Sun, there's a strong emphasis on self-reflection.

More specifically, the introspective nature of this conjunction asks that you reflect upon how satisfied you are with your self-image, self-expression and self-sufficiency.

On a different note, this influence can inspire creative thinking, making it a good day for artistic endeavors and/or brainstorming ideas.

Friday, April 12

This is a good day for intellectual pursuits, research projects or any activity that will stimulate the mind such as puzzles and social activities that feature lively conversations.

That said, whether you're chatting with one person or engaging with a group, it's best to avoid sensitive or controversial topics while the transiting Moon quarrels with Saturn and then mixes it up with Mars (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM).

Later that evening (9:00 PM - 11:00 PM), the harmony between the transiting Moon and Mercury makes it a perfect time to relax with a good book, watch your favorite show or have a lighthearted conversation.

Saturday, April 13

After a brief void that begins at 10:47 AM, the transiting Moon enters Cancer at 1:46 PM.

Given that the Crab is routinely voted the sign most likely to nest, you may feel inspired to spruce up your home, plant a garden, shop for accent tables or build yourself a she-shed or a man-cave.

Or on other hand, you could decide to get comfy and spend the day searching for ideas on Pinterest and shopping from home. 😁

Sunday, April 14

Whether you opt for indoors or outdoors, this is an excellent day for spending quality time with your family or those you consider part of your tribe. For example,if the weather is nice, you might decide to take the kids (or fur kids) to the park or visit someone in a care facility who could use some good company.

Given the sentimental influence of the transiting Cancer Moon, you may decide it's time to sort through old family photos, and in some cases, you might decide that it's time to take some new ones!

TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE AT 19°24' ARIES

April 8, 2024 • 2:21 PM EDT

In addition to being the first eclipse to take place in Aries since the north node entered this sign last July, this month's solar eclipse is distinguished because it's a total eclipse. This means that for a few minutes, the Moon will completely block all light coming from the Sun.

However, you'll only experience complete darkness if you're in the path of totality, and having witnessed one in my lifetime, I can tell you not only is it an amazing sight to behold, but encountering it firsthand makes you understand why ancient civilizations who had no idea of what was happening were terrified of them.

✨✨✨✨✨

Since a solar eclipse occurs during a new moon, it's associated with new beginnings, and since this one is a total eclipse, its more powerful than usual.

Eclipses are known as game-changers, and whether they bring a miracle or a crisis, it often comes as a surprise or a blindside.

However, since Mercury is retrograde at the time of the eclipse, it increases the likelihood that eclipse-related events and new beginnings will be delayed until the eclipse point (19° Aries) is triggered by a hard aspect from a transiting planet.

In terms of trigger dates, look to May 25-26 when transiting Mars conjuncts the eclipse point for eclipse-related events.

Before that occurs, Venus will be conjunct the eclipse point. Although she isn't normally considered a trigger, I feel it's worth noting because she will be conjunct this point during the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus, and since Venus rules Taurus, she is the dispositor (ruler) of Jupiter and Uranus. In any event, whether or not Venus exerts any influence on the eclipse point remains to be seen, but rest assured this astrologer will be paying attention!

✨✨✨✨✨

Collectively speaking, we can expect this eclipse to coincide with world events that speak to the evolutionary shift described by the transiting lunar nodes. Since this is a north node (where we are headed) eclipse in Aries, a cardinal (initiating) sign that expresses itself through bold and at times militant actions, we can expect it to usher in and/or escalate events that are steeped in conflict, such as civil unrest and war.

On the individual level, the focus of this eclipse is on your sense of personal sovereignty. Given that it's a north node (growth) eclipse and is also conjunct Chiron in Aries (wounded identity), it brings an opportunity to heal some aspect of your self.

For example, it could bring you an opportunity to create healthier boundaries, assume a leadership position, become comfortable taking risks, express, ask for what you want, stand up for what you believe in and ensure that your needs are met.

While the eclipse falls somewhere in everyone's horoscope, those of you who have a planet or sensitive point at or near 19° of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn are more likely to experience eclipse-related event.
