Subject: Solar Eclipse 🌘 Mars in Leo ♌ Weekly Forecast & More!

Dear Stargazers,

Earlier this week I spoke with Chris Flisher, and I'm happy to share that he's doing very well, the tumor is almost gone and the prognosis is very, very good. Your prayers and affirmations have worked wonders so please keep them up!

Now, onto this week's astrology, which includes a solar eclipse in Gemini that has the potential to (temporarily) mess with your head. It also welcomes Mars into Leo, where for the next 6 weeks the planet of action will play hard, work hard and express its passions in more than one way.

How might these planetary influences you? Scroll on down to find out!

PLANETARY FORECAST

June 7 -13

All dates are given in the Eastern Time Zone.

PLANETARY EVENTS

Jun. 10: Solar Eclipse in Gemini

Jun. 11: Mars enters Leo

BEST DAYS: While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

June 12

BEST AVOIDED: The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

June 8 (until 1:49 PM ET); June 10

NOTABLE ASPECTS

June 10

Mercury Rx conjunct Sun

This influence is typically very favorable for travel, studying and all kinds of communications, including writing, teaching, speaking and negotiating, and even though Mercury is retrograde, this can still be the case. Just be sure to confirm reservations, follow up on unanswered emails, proofread written materials for errors or omissions and the rest of the usual Mercury retrograde precautions.

June 13

Venus sextile Uranus

This influence can encourage us to step outside our comfort zone and try something (or someone) new. If relationship begins under this influence, it will be experienced as a breath of fresh air, and the object of your affection is likely to be very different from the type of person you usually find attractive. Although this influence isn't enough to promise it will be an enduring union, you can expect it to be an enjoyable one.

The only caveat to the foregoing influence is that with the Sun squaring Neptune today, your judgment could be off. Should you find yourself swept off your feet by a new romance or a new opportunity, wait a day or so before making any decisions or commitments.

On another note, some of you may feel a little out of sorts today. It may be that your energy feels a bit little lower, or you may find that you're easily distracted. If so, take it easy and if possible put off any important matters until tomorrow. By then, this influence will be over and you'll be feeling much mo re like yourself again.

SOLAR ECLIPSE at 19°47' GEMINI

June 10, 2021 | 6:53 AM

Washington, DC

Overview

This month's solar eclipse is an annular one, which occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line with the earth, but the size of the Moon appears smaller than the Sun. As a result, there appears to be a "ring of fire" around it.

A solar eclipse occurs during a new moon, which is why it's associated with new beginnings. However, it can also bring about an ending if there's something that needs to be cleared away before something new can take root. New beginnings can occur on an external level, such as a new job or relationship, or they can occur on an internal level such as a new idea or fresh perspective.

Since this eclipse is occurring in Gemini, which represents communications and the conscious, curious and intellectual mind, its energy supports learning new concepts, brainstorming ideas, networking and making plans for short trips. Since its conjunct Mercury (Gemini's ruler), there's an even greater emphasis on communications and intellectual pursuits.

The Neptune Factor

The nature of any eclipse or lunation is influenced by the aspects it makes to other planets, and in this case the Gemini solar eclipse-Mercury Rx conjunction is squaring Neptune. A hard energy, squares are action-producing aspects which means we can expect to experience some type of event or occurrence in the physical, mental or emotional realms.

At its best, Neptune represents inspiration, compassion, imagination and spirituality. At its worst, it represents confusion, paranoia, disappointment and deception (self or otherwise). Given the tense nature of the aspect from the eclipse and Mercury Rx, the influence of this eclipse is likely to produce a sense of uncertainty in many of you.

Also, the fact that Mercury is retrograde during this eclipse means that new plans and beginnings may be delayed or simply get off to a slow start. However, given the obscure nature of this eclipse energy, that may actually be a good thing.

Finally, if you feel a bit disoriented in the days leading up to the eclipse or even up to a week after it occurs, you'll benefit from activities that ground your energy (e.g., spending time in nature even if it's just sitting on a bench near some trees) and/or help center your thoughts (e.g., meditation, yoga).

TRANSITING MARS IN LEO

June 11 - July 29, 2021

After weeks of feeling depleted while in Cancer, Mars was more than happy to exit the sign of its fall and enter the fiery, passionate and dramatic sign of Leo.

As he sauntered into the Lion’s den, Mars could feel his confidence return, his courage increase and his passion burn. Feeling a sense of pride and entitlement, he took his seat upon Leo’s throne, and a drama king was born.

While Mars is in Leo, he seeks the spotlight and wants to hear the sound of applause. He also tends to take everything personally and is quick to lash out in righteous indignation against anyone who disagrees, criticizes or opposes him. That’s why while Mars is in Leo, he can be an impatient bully who when challenged is at best combative and at worst a tyrant.

Fortunately for Mars (and everyone else), while in Leo his heart also expands, along with a fun-loving nature, unbridled generosity, creative abilities and passion for life. When Mars in Leo chooses to channel his ambition through these outlets, he achieves dazzling success in the arts, builds empires, spearheads noble causes and donates generously to those less fortunate.

Depending upon the circumstances, Mars in Leo can be a dictator or a benefactor, but whether he’s presiding over a reign of terror or a peaceable kingdom, the one thing you can count on is that he’ll never back down.

I remember being in the supermarket with my baby daughter sitting in the seat of the shopping cart when a very elderly man came walked over to see her. As he bent over to look her in the eyes and smile at her, I was struck by the contrast of her youth and his age, and I remember looking at them and thinking, "There it is. The beginning of life and the end of life."

I've thought of this moment many times over the years, most recently when I came across this image on social media.

At the time, the span of years between my 10-month old daughter and this 80+ year gentlemen seemed like an eternity. Nowadays, not so much.

I don't know who wrote the text, but the message is spot on. While it's true that we're living in trying times, there are still joys to be found in life that none of us should let go to waste.

Until next week,

May Jupiter's blessings be your constant companion,
