Subject: New Moon ✨ Pluto in Aquarius ✨ And more!

Dear Stargazers,

I'm sending you this a day early because with so much cosmic activity this week, it's a long newsletter.

What's happening you ask? Well, there are several astrological events this week, but the biggest one occurs on March 23 when Pluto enters Aquarius. During its brief visit (it retrogrades back into Capricorn on June10), we can expect to get a glimpse into Pluto's transformative agenda for the 20 odds years it will spend in the sign of the Water Bearer.

Although Pluto in Aquarius is the week's top story, there are several other planetary events that deserve our attention.

--The transiting Sun announces a new season (equinox) and a new astrological year when it enters Aries on March 20.

--The Aries new moon not only occurs at the same powerful degree as the equinox, but it's the first of two consecutive new moons in Aries. (Spoiler alert! The second one is a solar eclipse on April 20 at 29° Aries.)

-- Mars enters Cancer. After 8 months in the ever-changing sign of the Twins, the good news is that the planet of action has moved into Cancer. The not-so-good news is that Cancer is the sign of his fall, which means living under the Crab's roof doesn't feel like home sweet home.

Now that you've read all the headlines, it's time to read the details!

New Podcast! Once again, I'm joined by my team of Certified Astrologers for an insightful discussion about the promises and pitfalls of Pluto's transit in Aquarius as it sets out to transform technology and humanity. You can watch/listen to the video on YouTube or stream the audio here.

MARCH EQUINOX:
THE TRANSITING SUN ENTERS ARIES

Each year, the March equinox marks the exact moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator from south to north, and in doing so, it declares the arrival of spring in the northern hemisphere and the beginning of autumn in the southern one.

It also marks the Aries ingress and the beginning of a new astrological year.

For those of us in the northern hemisphere, and especially those who experience four distinct seasons, spring heralds a time of birth and rebirth. For our southern neighbors, autumn is a time of reflection and transition as summer fades and winter beckons.

Although the March equinox coincides with different physical seasons depending on where one lives in the world, it brings the same metaphysical season to everyone no matter which hemisphere we call home.

Each year, we experience renewal on a spiritual level as the Sun, which represents our heart and soul enters Aries, the sign of I AM, and reminds us that we have the power to initiate, create and manifest our dreams.

If you’re not yet where you want to be in life or have yet to achieve a heart-felt desire, it’s time to embrace the bold, decisive, never-say-die attitude of the Ram and make it a reality.

While all new moons contain seeds for a new beginning, by its very nature the Aries new moon is infused with a pioneering spirit that is intent on blazing a new path.

Rest assured the new moon at 0°50' Aries that takes place on March 21 at 1:23 PM EDT is no different.

In fact, it's actually more compelling than usual, because it falls on the Aries point, which is 0°-1° of a cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). When you consider that every season begins at an Aries point, it's easy to see why this degree is so powerful.

But that's not all. This new moon is also especially potent because it's the first of two consecutive new moons in Aries, the second one being a solar eclipse on April 20.

So how can this new moon energy benefit you?

Since Aries represents the individual, the energy of this new moon is best used to set intentions and initiate actions that further your own personal interests.

If you're used to putting others first, the new moon's conjunction to Mercury should make it easier for you to think about yourself and your personal wants, needs, hopes, goals and ambitions.

Mercury's influence is also likely to inspire some bold ideas that can serve you well, provided you don't fall prey to the Ram's impulsive nature. As long as you think things through and look before you leap, you can expect your intentions to be rooted in success.

What's more, Pluto's sextile to the new moon adds the potential for a fresh start that can lead to a profound change in your circumstances. However, you'll need to take some kind of action to make it happen. It doesn't need to be big. It doesn't need to be complex. It just needs to support your vision.

Now, it's not often that you get a cosmic green light to put yourself first, and in this case, you'll get a second one on April 20. But what if you don't have anything specific that you want to manifest at this time?

My advice is to set an intention at this new moon to truly understand what the words I AM mean in your life. According to Leadership Expert Sheila Murray Bethel,

One of the most courageous things you can do is identify yourself, know who you are, what you believe in and where you want to go.

At some point in our lives, we all need to figure this out.

The Aries new moon is a perfect time to begin.

Getting Personal

So which life areas are being targeted in your life for a new beginning? They're revealed by the house in your horoscope that's hosting this new moon.

If you don't know which house holds exactly 0°50' of Aries in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out where the new moon falls according to your rising sign (if you know it). Manifesting with the Aries New Moon

You can set any intention under any new moon but when it's in Aries, it's especially favorable for:

Actions, intentions and affirmations to promote your personal interests and ambitions, strengthen your body and enhance your physical appearance and increase your energy, confidence, courage, leadership and self-motivation.

TRANSITING MARS IN CANCER

March 25 - May 20, 2023

As the planetary ruler of war, Mars is used to wearing armor and wielding swords, so when the Crab told him to don an apron, the hot water wasn’t the only thing that came to a boil.

That Mars and Cancer were at odds with each other comes as no surprise, because their relationship has always been a tense one. You see, Mars is in its fall in Cancer, which means its energy is depleted. While it's true this watery sign isn’t powerful enough to extinguish Martian fire, it certainly puts a damper on it.

Consequently, while Mars is living under the Crab’s roof, he can be moody, irritable and hesitant. In fact, unless Mars can find a healthy way to express its energy, the domestic bliss that Cancer works so diligently to cultivate will be punctuated by domestic disturbances.

Mars is a natural leader who doesn't enjoy sitting on the sidelines. That's why despite his usual disinterest in domestic matters, sooner or later he will take charge of the household. Likewise, during this time we could feel inspired to clean up the house, visit with family or put down roots.

He is also known for his passion, which is why our physical appetites may be stimulated at this time. Although some of will crave food, most of us will crave intimacy and when Mars is involved, the odds of attaining what we desire are usually in our favor.

Of course, attainment and fulfillment are not necessarily the same thing. At any other time, Mars is such an ego-driven planet that he wouldn’t notice the difference, and even if he did, he wouldn’t care as long as his own needs were being met.

However, while immersed in Cancer sensitivity, Mars experiences an emotional need to nurture someone other than himself. Given that up until now he has always focused exclusively on himself, this is uncharted territory.

And that's just fine, because Mars loves a challenge.

True, he may scoff at the idea of doing laundry or using a dust rag, but he’s more than willing to do the heavy lifting. He’s also happy to cook provided he’s allowed to use the barbecue, and since he's still the planetary co-ruler of Scorpio, he's comfortable taking out the trash.

Most of all, he'll defend the Crab's home, family and honor against any perceived threats.

And when no one is looking, his warrior's heart will read nursery rhymes, sing lullabies and kiss boo boos.
