A Bumpy Week

There are strong Neptunian influences on Tuesday, Wednesday and especially onThursday that will require you to pay careful attention to words and deeds in order to avoid confusion, misunderstandings, disappointment and in extreme cases, deception.

Thursday is a red-letter day, because in addition to the potential for arguments as a result of misunderstandings, there is a strong likelihood that egos and hearts will be wounded from conflicts that stem from competition, jealousy and long-standing resentments.

While clearing the air can be healthy, this energy suggests that fights can easily turn dirty. While the best thing you can do is avoid taking the bait, if you do find yourself in a heated argument you'll do well to walk away rather than allow it to escalate.

Friday sees a much gentler shift in the energy that could go a long way in helping to diffuse any residual anger from yesterday, as well as heal any relationship casualties.

Planetary Events

Venus moves into Taurus on March 16 and Mercury moves into Aries on March 18.

TRANSITING MERCURY IN ARIES
 March 16- April 3

While Mercury is in Aries, he’s able to learn new subjects at lightning speed and finds it easy to think on his feet. However, he also tends to lose patience with anyone who fails to keep pace with him.

He’s also quick to anger and quick to answer, which means absent a few deep breaths, his tongue can sling barbs that inflict more than a little damage upon his target.

Consequently, while Mercury is in Aries we may find it easier to process new concepts and be motivated to study.  However, our patience with others is likely to wear thin more easily, and since we’re more likely to jump to conclusions, words are apt to fly out of our mouth that we’ll quickly regret.

As the first sign of the zodiac and the natural ruler of the first house, Aries’ focus is often on “me, myself and I,” and during this time, Mercury can be very self-centered.  In turn, our thoughts may be so focused on ourselves that we completely forget to consider others.

However, Aries is also an extremely noble sign that seeks to defend and protect others, and when its higher side is expressed, Mercury can be a knight in shining armor.

If we keep that in mind, so can we.

TRANSITING VENUS IN TAURUS
March 16 - April 10, 2023

After more than a few passionate adventures and shopping sprees while in Aries, Venus moved into Taurus and discovered that instant gratification not only had a price, but it was time to pay it.

While in Taurus, Venus will take inventory, pay the bills, establish a budget and develop an investment strategy to recoup any losses she may have incurred while blazing new paths in the sign of the Ram.

Likewise, we would do well during this time to follow her lead and assess our financial health. No matter where we are financially, it’s never too late to take steps to reduce our debt and/or build up our nest egg.

Although Venus may have been focused on the heat of the moment while in Aries, now that she's in Taurus she's focused on the long haul. Although her cautious nature can make her a bit slow to commit, but once she does she’s steadfast. She’ll be there during the good times and more so during bad ones. She’ll support you, defend you and love you from here to eternity unless you betray her.

If you do, it's game over.

Still, no matter how hurt or angry Venus in Taurus may feel at times, she’ll never give up on love. Whether it’s just around the corner or years away, she has the patience to wait for it. As the ruler of self-esteem, she knows she deserves better, and as the goddess of love, she knows love will find her.

Perhaps most important, Venus presides over our values, and whether it’s possessions or relationships, Venus in Taurus values quality over quantity.

And that's why whenever Venus is in Taurus, we should take time to consider what’s meaningful to us. Who and what do we hold most dear? What do we feel we deserve, and are we ready to receive it?

Like Venus in Taurus, we should always insist upon the very best.

That wraps up this week's newsletter. If you enjoyed it and find it helpful, please share it!

Until next time,

May Jupiter's blessings be your constant companion,
