| | Dear Stargazers,
The past few weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster for me. The day after the lunar eclipse (which conjuncted my Sun and squared my 6th house moon), I experienced my first (and hopefully last) trip to the hospital in an ambulance. The good news is that about 8 hours later, I was released secure in the knowledge that I didn't have a heart attack or other heart-related issue.
Since that time, I've been feeling fine except for a series of ocular migraines. Fortunately, I didn't experience intense migraine pain but the visual disturbances have certainly interfered with my work. While there are a variety of triggers that can cause them, after hearing my work schedule both of the doctors I consulted strongly recommend that I give my eyes a rest from reading, writing and the computer for the next few weeks.
For that reason: - The online predictive workshop is being postponed until the fall;
- The meaning of Jupiter going direct will be discussed in the August 1 podcast;
- The meaning of Uranus going retrograde will be discussed in the August 8 podcast.

I'm just doing what I can to cut down on the eye strain, which is why I haven't been on Instagram or other social media recently and didn't write about Jupiter Direct and Uranus Rx in this newsletter.

While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

NEW MOON AT 8°37' LEO July 31, 2019 | 11:12 PM EDT Washington, DC
The uplifting, playful and confident nature of this month's new moon is the perfect antidote to the serious, sober and intense nature of the recent lunar eclipse.
As the fifth sign of the natural zodiac, Leo rules romance, children and creativity. It's also known for its generosity, which is why its conjunction to Venus (the lesser fortune) and trine to Jupiter (the greater fortune) suggests the beginning of abundance connected to love and money along with creative self-expression in all of its various forms. Since Leo rules parties and Venus rules social activities, this new moon suggests opportunities to get out and about during the coming weeks.
With Uranus squaring Venus and the new moon, invitations could be spur of the moment and take you to locales that you don't normally frequent. Meeting new people who are different than your usual tribe, participating in new activities or sampling different cuisines could be a breath of fresh air in what (for some of you) has so far been a hum drum summer (or winter if you're in the southern hemisphere).
On another note, Uranus's square to Venus could coincide with an exciting (but likely short-lived) romance or an impulsive spending spree. How you feel afterwards may be another story, but you'll enjoy it while it's happening.
That being said, there is one tiny fly in the ointment, and that's the fact that Mercury doesn't go direct until 11:58 PM EDT.
That's right. Mercury is retrograde during this new moon, which means these new beginnings could be delayed. However, since it goes direct just 40 minutes later, any delays should be minimal. |
