Subject: New Moon Offers Divine Opportunities ✦ Weekly Forecast & More!

Dear Stargazers,

On September 2, Mercury leaves the post-retrograde shadow and on September 6, Saturn will join Mars and Mercury in direct motion.

Although the energy is still a bit stagnant, during the next few weeks you'll notice an energetic shift that will inspire you to action. If you feel like you've lost your mojo, it won't be long before you get it back.

That said, on September 2 transiting Venus enters its pre-retrograde shadow (it stations retrograde on October 5).  There'll be more to come on this topic but for now just be aware that Venus rules love, values and money and as she gets deeper into the shadow, you'll start to feel its influence. On a practical level, this isn't the best time to make decisions about relationships or finances, but it's an excellent one for reviewing who and what means the most to you.

Astro Update - July 27 Lunar Eclipse

In the July 22 newsletter, I wrote  about future trigger dates of the 7/27 lunar eclipse point:

"The days to watch are August 27-28 (one month after the eclipse and the day Mars stations direct)."  As you know by now, on August 28 California was hit by a magnitude 4.4. earthquake.

Next set of dates to watch: Sept. 24-28.

Now that we've looked backwards, let's take a peek at the future.

NEW MOON at 17°00' VIRGO
September 9, 2018 | 2:01 PM
Washington, DC

A New Moon occurs when the sun and moon form an aspect known as a  conjunction (they're in the same sign and at the same exact degree). One of the keywords for a conjunction is creation, and every New Moon offers the potential for a new beginning in some area of your life.

The zodiac sign that the new moon occurs in offers its own general theme, as well as specific opportunities, for manifestation based upon the life areas assigned to it.

This month's New Moon is in Virgo, and when it comes to meeting standards and expectations, the Maiden is hardest on herself. For that reason, the general theme of the Virgo moon is self-improvement, and as the sixth and most efficient sign of the zodiac, it supports new beginnings and opportunities connected to our work, service, health, daily routine and/or pets.

The energy of this month's Virgo New Moon is best described as divinely transformative thanks to a trine that links the creative potential of the New Moon with the transformative energy of Pluto. Even better, the New Moon and Pluto are strongly supported by Jupiter (expansion).

As a result, the new beginnings and opportunities that germinate from this New Moon have the potential to be far-reaching, lasting and life-changing.

But what about the opposition between the New Moon and Neptune? Not to worry, because Neptune is in good aspect to Jupiter and Pluto and most important, its influence on the New Moon is weak and Mercury, Mars and Saturn are all moving in direct (forward) motion at this New Moon.

All new moons are not created equal, and this is one of the best ones we've had in months. Don't let it go to waste.
Getting Personal

So which life areas are being targeted in your life by this new moon? They're revealed by the house in your horoscope that's hosting this new moon. If you don't know which house holds 17° Virgo in your chart, you can learn which house holds the new moon in your solar chart (this is Sun-sign based astrology) by locating your Sun sign in the list below.

If your Sun is in:

Aries, it falls in your solar 6th house (health, work, pets, diet, nutrition).
Taurus, it falls in your solar 5th house (romance, children, creative self-expression, entertainment).
Gemini, it falls in your solar 4th house (home, family, real estate, parents).
Cancer, it falls in your solar 3rd house (siblings, neighbors, short trips, cars, contracts, negotiations).
Leo, it falls in your solar 2nd house (income, spending, personal values, self-esteem, tangible assets).
Virgo, it falls in your solar 1st house (your physical body, attitude towards life).
Libra, it falls in your solar 12th house (spirituality, creativity, mental health, addictions).
Scorpio, it falls in your solar 11th house (groups, associations, hopes, casual friends, colleagues).
Sagittarius,it falls in your solar 10th house (career, fame, status, reputation)
Capricorn, it falls in your solar 9th house (education, law, religion, foreign and long-distance travel, publishing).
Aquarius, the eclipse falls in your solar 8th house (intimacy, shared resources, other people's support, birth, death, estate matters).
Pisces, the eclipse falls in your solar 7th house (marriage and all one-to-one relationships including best friends, adversaries, business partners and clients).

Manifesting with the Virgo New Moon

You can set any intention under any new moon but when it's in Virgo, it's especially favorable for:

Actions, intentions and affirmations related to your health, exercise and diet, as well as to obtain new job skills or employment, increase job satisfaction, enhance employee relationships, improve daily routines, attract the perfect pet, find skilled accountants, gyms, physical trainers, chefs, massage therapists, veterinarians, house cleaners, nannies and nutritionists.
Closing Thoughts

As the 6th sign of the zodiac, Virgo rules the working classes, so it's fitting that Labor Day, the national holiday that honors the contributions of American workers to their country, is celebrated under the Virgo Sun.

On that note, Happy Labor Day to all who celebrate!

May Jupiter's blessings be your constant companion,
