Like all new moons, this one is about initiating a fresh start and moving forward in life. However, in this case your new beginnings may get off to a slow start, because it is taking place against a planetary backdrop saturated in retrograde energy.
For starters, Mercury (which is also the planetary ruler of this new moon) will be retrograde for less than 19 hours after this new moon, its potential for delaying your new moon intentions can't be dismissed.
In addition, with five planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) moving backwards and Venus still working to get up to speed, the overall energy of the cosmos is a bit sluggish.
That's why if you feel like things are at an inexplicable standstill right now, it's not your imagination; it's the energy. And yes, it is going to shift for the better in the coming weeks.
But for now, we have to work with what we have, and what we have is an effortless flow of energy from the Virgo New Moon to Uranus.
And yes, that's very good indeed, because it supports intuitive insights into complex problems, liberating domestic changes, radical healing and innovative solutions to work-related situations.
The only catch is that given Mercury retrograde and the sluggish energy of this new moon, results are likely to be delayed.
Fortunately, that delay isn't likely to be very long. In fact, you may very well see tangible tangible results on/about September 29, which is the day of the Aries full moon, or within 5 days after it.
If so, it's not just because of the full moon. There's something else going on that day that caught my predictive eye.
On September 29, transiting Mercury exits the post-retrograde shadow that day, and as it does it will conjunct the Virgo new moon degree. This aspect will trigger the degree, which will reactivate its energy and help your new moon intentions blossom.
