Subject: Jupiter Retrograde at a Critical Degree ✨ Your Daily Astrology Forecast & More💫

Dear Stargazers,

Happy Labor Day to those of you in the USA who are celebrating the holiday weekend!

Jupiter's retrograde station is this week's cosmic headline, and while this cycle is a common one, this year it happens to be stationing on a critical degree and will go direct on a triggering degree. More on this below, as well as the daily forecast for the upcoming week!

YOUR DAILY ASTROLOGY FORECAST
SEPTEMBER 4 - 10, 2023
All dates and times are given in EDT.

Monday, September 4.  Today's flowing energy between Mercury Rx and Jupiter Rx, along with a bevy of positive aspects from the transiting Taurus Moon, helps to set the stage for an engaging and productive day. Although Mercury's backward motion means that you need to pay attention to avoid communication or travel mishaps, its trine to Jupiter Rx is still beneficial for writing, education, travel and social activities. However, with both planets in retrograde motion, don't be surprised if your interests and/or conversations take a philosophical turn.

Jupiter stations retrograde at 8:38 AM EDT. More below!

Tuesday, September 5. If you have something important to accomplish today, do your best to complete it before the Moon is void (2:57 PM. 4:09 PM), and then use the void period to catch up on routine matters. Once the Moon enters Gemini (4:09 PM), you once again have a green light to move forward on important matters, but with Mercury retrograde, decisions and agreements made at this time may be subject to change after it goes direct.

Wednesday, September 6. Whether it's an artistic project or a problem that needs to be solved, you can count on today's Sun-Mercury Rx conjunction to jumpstart your creative juices as Mercury's introspective energy blends with the creative force of the Sun to give birth to inspired works or unorthodox solutions. Although the influence of this conjunction is favorable, there's a window of irritability (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) when the transiting Moon has a strong difference of opinion with it. Should you experience resistance to an idea or an opinion during this time, it's best to agree to disagree because once the aspect passes, so will its touchy and critical energy.

Thursday, September 7. Today's transiting Gemini Moon encourages brainstorming, socializing, writing, learning, lively conversations and anything else that stimulates your mind. If you don't find something interesting to occupy your attention, you're likely to feel restless, and if you have too much empty time on your hands, you could find yourself worrying about real or imagined issues. Occupied or not, some of you could experience some type of emotional letdown when the transiting Moon has a run-in with Neptune just before it goes void (6:23 PM) for the rest of the evening. If so, keep in mind that the void moon is a powerful time for restorative spiritual and/or mind-body practices.

Friday, September 8. There's a nurturing influence in the energy that stems from the transiting Moon's ingress into Cancer at 1:01 AM, but it's the Sun-Jupiter trine that is responsible for injecting a strong dose of optimism into the day. Whenever the Sun and Jupiter collaborate, they inspire confidence, cheerfulness, enthusiasm and a desire to enjoy life. The only caveat to this trine is that it's such a feel-good energy that you could be tempted to just kick back and enjoy the day, and if so, you would be wasting its potential to enhance your life. With the Sun being the creative force and Jupiter representing opportunities, this effortless flow of energy between them can be used to discover new prospects for success, as well as ideas, connections or circumstances that can help you make whatever changes you desire in your life.

Saturday, September 9. Today's succession of benevolent aspects from the transiting Cancer Moon to the Sun, Jupiter and Uranus is a wonderful energetic recipe for a soul-soothing day. While some of you will feel the urge to spend some quality time with family, tend your garden or simply enjoy some alone time at home, others will be more inclined to go on a family outing, visit a psychic fair, take a stroll on a boardwalk or enjoy a hearty meal at a favorite restaurant. In the end, it doesn't matter what you choose to do today as long as it nourishes you on some level.

Sunday, September 10. With a void moon from 8:48 AM - 12:37 PM, the morning hours are best spent on spiritual pursuits, mind-body practices or catching up on your favorite television/cable series. However, that changes once the transiting Moon enters Leo (12:37 PM) and announces that it's time to have fun. Under this party-loving Moon, some of you may feel inspired to organize an impromptu get together with friends at a local coffee shop, take the kids out to a park and/or your pups to the dog run, while others will prefer to stay home and rent a must-see movie, pursue a hobby or enjoy a good laugh with a friend in person or on the phone. Last but not least, Leo rules love affairs so today could find some of you having fun with a romantic partner or having fun pursuing a new one!

JUPITER RETROGRADE
September 4 - December 30, 2023

On September 4, Jupiter will station retrograde at 15°35' Taurus, at which time it will move backwards through the sign of the Bull until it stations direct on December 30 at 5°35' Taurus.

Retrograde cycles are about reflection, and every time the Greater Fortune is in reverse motion it prompts us to revisit our feelings about prosperity, abundance, growth and success. Since Jupiter also rules belief systems and higher knowledge, it also encourages us to to review our philosophical, political and religions convictions.

During this period, should you find that you're no longer aligned with any of them, this is the time to discover your personal truth so you can replace them with beliefs that are meaningful to you.

Since Jupiter's placement in Taurus puts an emphasis on material prosperity, most of you will spend a good portion of this cycle reflecting on the economy, reexamining your monetary resources and reevaluating the health of the financial institutions that hold your investments. Should any of your assessments make you feel insecure, this is the time to research the actions you can take to restore your confidence.

The Significance of the Retrograde Degrees

Although Jupiter's retrograde cycle is a common annual occurrence, this cycle's stationary degrees (retrograde at 15° and direct at 5°) are noteworthy because one is an Avatar degree and the second one is a triggering degree.

In astrology, 15° of a fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) is a significant degree because it falls midway between an equinox and a solstice. This is a critical degree that in an individual's chart often coincides with a special gift or talent and is known as the Avatar degree.

In this case, it's a transiting station point, which suggests that this retrograde cycle will be about focusing on the issues that are paramount to the Jupiter in Taurus cycle.

On a personal level, this places a greater emphasis on your finances (earning, saving and spending money), your possessions (something you need to buy or perhaps it's time to trim the fat and declutter), and your values (who and what means the most to you).

On a collective level, it places a greater emphasis on inflation/cost of living and the retail industry, as well as the border crisis that has some big city mayors up in arms because they lack the financial resources (Taurus) to provide for all of the foreign migrants (Jupiter). Likewise, Jupiter (philanthropy) in Taurus (money) is likely to bring more attention to the allocation of economic resources for foreign aid and domestic emergency relief.

When Jupiter stations direct on December 30, it will do so at 5° Taurus. This station will trigger the Taurus lunar eclipse that will have occurred earlier at the same degree on October 28 at the exact same degree. I will go into more detail about this event when we get closer to it.
