PLANETARY EVENTS

Mar. 23:  New Moon in Aries

BEST DAYS

While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

Mar. 28

BEST AVOIDED

The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

NOTABLE ASPECTS

Mar. 23:  Mars conjunct Pluto
Mar. 28:  Venus trine Jupiter
Mar. 28:  Venus trine Pluto
NEW MOON AT 4°12' ARIES
March 24, 2020 | 5:26 AM
Washington, DC

As the first sign in the zodiac, Aries represents birth, initiation and the pioneering spirit, and its nature is one of courage, confidence, ambition and resourcefulness. Given these qualities, it's easy to see why this new moon is considered the most fertile for new beginnings.

This month's Aries new moon is an interesting one, especially in light of current circumstances, because it's tightly conjunct Chiron (5°17' Aries) and squares the lunar nodes (3°41' Cancer and Capricorn).

Chiron's conjunction to the new moon in Aries (the sign of the self) certainly makes sense in light of the pandemic.

After all, Chiron represents a wound, Aries represents the self and a large sector of the general public (the moon) have felt the feel the need to look out for number one (Aries) and hoard supplies without any consideration for others. As the numbers continue to climb, and they will not only because the virus is spreading but also because of widespread testing, many more will feel this way.

It's important to understand that since the new moon/Chiron conjunction squares the lunar nodes (points of fate), whatever we initiate now will have lasting consequences so it's important to choose wisely.

Finally, we need to remember that Chiron is more than a wound; it's also a tremendous gift. Yes, Chiron was unable to cure his own condition, but it didn't stop him from living or from healing others.
Although on the weak side, the sextile from Saturn to the new moon offers a steady influence and its sign, Aquarius, encourages us to be more creative in our thinking.

As a nation, this new moon suggests we will have the opportunity to heal our own wounds, and the choices we make during this crisis will have lasting consequences for generations to come.
