As the transiting Moon enters Taurus (2:25 AM), it introduces a stabilizing, productive influence that will help you achieve your objectives today. From 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, what seems to be a simple lunch invitation (or lunchtime meeting) could turn out to be a power lunch. However, if the focus is on financial matters or some type of enhanced relationship opportunity, it's best to take a cautious approach because we're in the midst of Venus retrograde. Tuesday, August 8. Energetically speaking, today is considered a very powerful one for manifesting because the Lion's Gate portal is at its peak. More on that below, but in and of itself, this day looks like a fortunate one, because the transiting Taurus Moon makes a series of aspects that will enhance personal and professional endeavors. On that note, whether you plan to focus on manifesting your dreams or simply accomplishing your to-do list, you can expect a good return for your efforts. Wednesday, August 9. If you're an early riser who wants to hit the ground running, you're likely to do better if you spend the morning hours during the Void Moon (6:39 AM - 9:06 AM) working on routine matters. Once the transiting Moon enters Gemini (9:06 AM), you'll be able to use the Mercury-Jupiter trine to your advantage. Not only does this influence promote an easy flow of communications, but it is a highly supportive one for legal matters, including negotiations and contract signings. It is also very favorable for activities or pursuits connected to writing, speaking, education, philosophy, foreign affairs and travel. The only caveat is that in light of Venus retrograde, care should be taken if there's money involved because financial transactions that appeal to you now may not seem worth their investment after Venus goes direct. The likelihood of such an outcome is increased given today's simultaneous square between Venus Retrograde and Uranus, an influence that's known for promoting a devil-may-care attitude towards money that could inspire you to accumulate a tidy number of impulse purchases. Besides money, the Venus-Rx-Uranus square could embolden you to take a chance on love. With that in mind, if a romantic opportunity crosses your path under this influence, it's not likely to have staying power, although it is likely to be fun while it lasts. If you're already partnered, you could do something new (romantic or otherwise) that breathes some fresh air into your union. Since Venus is retrograde, some of you may suddenly or unexpectedly decide to reconcile with an ex-partner, and if so, it may be for the purpose of bringing you closure. While there are many positive possibilities today, I want you to be aware that a clash between the transiting Gemini Moon and Saturn during the late afternoon hours could coincide with some type of disappointment. However, if you avoid getting carried away at the cash register and can remain realistic about romance, you should walk away unscathed. Thursday, August 10. Although the pace of life today is decidedly slower than yesterday's, it will still be easy to lose focus if you allow the afternoon's distractions to throw you off balance, or worse, into a tizzy. If you do, you're likely to spend part of your evening venting to anyone who will listen to you. However, if you remain calm and roll with the punches, you can still enjoy a highly productive day. Friday, August 11. If today is the day you need to have a significant conversation, schedule an important meeting or make a crucial decision, be sure to get it done before the Gemini moon goes void at 1:28 PM, or else there's a good chance that nothing will come of the matter. A good use of the void period (1:28 PM - 6:53 PM) would be to catch up on busy work and routine errands, or if you're not working, meditation or other types of spiritual practice. Once the transiting Moon enters Cancer (6:53 PM), the energetic vibe moves out of your head and into your heart. Saturday, August 12. Today's cosmic headliner is the Sun-Venus Rx conjunction, which is asking you to reconnect with your heart (Sun) and define who and what you value (Venus) the most NOW. Whether it's people, places, possession, ambitions or anything else, if it has been meaningful to you in the past, it's time to reassess it and determine if it's worth keeping.
That aside, this is an excellent day to explore your options related to buying, selling, renting, redecorating, landscaping or renovating a home. It's also beneficial for domestic events, which can be as sweeping as a family reunion or as simple as sorting through old photos. No matter what you're drawn to do today, the influence of the nostalgic transiting Cancer Moon is likely to make you feel more emotional than usual.
Sunday, August 13. A series of happy interactions between the transiting Cancer Moon and Mercury, Mars, Uranus and Neptune suggests that this could turn out to be a stellar day. Although these influences will support you on every level, if you want to make the most of this uplifting energies, follow your heart and devote your attention to whatever (or whoever) fulfills you. August 8, 2023 | | For those of you who aren't familiar with it, the Lion's Gate portal is an annual event that occurs when the Earth and the fixed star Sirius are in alignment with each other. It is considered an extremely potent time for manifestation, and it gets its name because it occurs while the transiting Sun is in Leo. Although this energetic portal is open from July 28 - August 12, it is believed to be at its most powerful on August 8, which in numerical date form gives us a double dose of 8 (8/8). Across many disciplines, cultures and religions, the number eight is viewed as a powerful and prosperous number. For example: In astrology, the 8th house is one of the most powerful ones in the horoscope. As the ruler of birth, death and regeneration, the 8th house is about transformation and spiritual alchemy. According to numerology, the number 8 is connected to wealth, abundance and influence. With its symmetrical double circle, it also represents balance between the material and spiritual worlds. In Chinese culture, the number 8 is considered a very lucky number for prosperity. In Hinduism, the number 8 is the number of wealth and abundance. According to the Bible (new testament), the number 8 is associated with salvation, creation and resurrection. Turned on its side, the number 8 is the infinity symbol.
Working with the Power of 8
There are many different ways to tap into the Lion Gate's high-frequency energy, and below are some of my favorite ways to create an abundance mindset.
Create, speak and write (repeatedly) abundance affirmations. Make a vision board. Write thank you notes. Journal about who and what you appreciate (gratitude list) or about your accomplishments, successes and victories (including the small ones!) Meditate on a prosperity symbol. For example, the number 8, the Sun Card in a tarot deck, a horseshoe, the color green, a $100 bill or anything at all that represents abundance to you. Spend some time in the company of a prosperity-promoting crystal, such as citrine, green jade or pyrite. You can meditate on this too, but you can also hold it in your hand or rest it for a period of time on your root chakra (money and security).
Whatever you choose to do, it shouldn't feel like a chore. It should be fun to do, because as your optimism, enthusiasm and happiness raises your vibration, it increases your manifesting power! | |
