Subject: Cosmic Green Light ✩ Full Moon ✩ Cardinal Cross & More!

Hello Stargazers!

To say I'm busy is an understatement. I'm actually writing this entire newsletter today, so
 let's get to it!

Transiting Venus is currently in Pisces. Although Venus will move forward through the entire sign before entering Aries on Feb. 3, she'll return to this sign in April as part of her upcoming retrograde journey.

Today (Jan. 8) Mercury stationed direct at 28° Sagittarius at 4:43 AM EST. Ideally speaking, it's best to wait until Mercury is out of the post-retrograde shadow (Jan. 28) before purchasing electronics, signing contracts, etc. If you can't wait, then try to hold off until January 16th when Mercury's energy will be more stable.

ALL of the planets are now moving forward

While I wouldn't go so far as to call this a "rare" event, it is uncommon, and with all energies focused outward (as opposed to internally), this is considered a fortunate time to take action.
This period ends on Feb. 6 when Jupiter stations retrograde, which means you have from now through Feb. 5 to make the most of this cosmic green light.

While this energy favors moving forward in any area, my advice is to look at the life areas that ruled by Jupiter in your chart. In other words, the life areas ruled by the house (or houses) with Sagittarius on the cusp. Why? Because Jupiter rules expansion, and once it stations retrograde, it will continue to backpedal until June 9.

At this point, I know many of you are wondering which house and life areas Sagittarius rules in your chart. As much as I would love to help you out here, I simply cannot respond to individual emails. If you've had an In-Depth Natal Chart & 12-Month Forecast reading with me and still have a copy of the mp3, I identified the Sagittarius house(s) during the session. If you've purchased an Indra Natal Report, you'll find this information on the last page. You can find a brief list of the life areas ruled by each house in article below about the full moon.

January 12: Full Moon in Cancer (discussion below).

January 19:  Transiting Sun enters Aquarius (Happy Birthday, Water Bearers! Your annual mini-forecast will be in the January 22 issue).

 Best Days

While there are other days during this time frame that fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes..

January 20, 21 (up to 8:24 PM EST) and 22

 Best Avoided

The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

January 10

January 18-19:  As Mars squares Saturn, you may feel a strong urge to push forward, but you're likely to encounter strong resistance.  My experience is that this energy doesn't preclude success; however, it's likely to be hard-won.
Full Moon at 22° Cancer
January 12, 2017

This month's full moon is a dynamic one because it features a cardinal cross. A grand cardinal cross is an planetary configuration that occurs when there is (at least) one planet in each of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) and every one of them challenges the other via a hard aspect (a square or opposition).  In this lunation, the cardinal cross is created by the Moon in Cancer, the Sun in Capricorn, Jupiter in Libra and Uranus in Aries.

Mundane (Worldly) Interpretation

The full moon falls across the 1/7 houses (axis of relationships), and the Jupiter-Uranus opposition falls across the 3/9 houses (axis of communications, information and local/foreign relationships). Since each planet is challenging the other, it suggests a contest involving competing interests, and its cardinal (leadership) nature suggests a battle for supremacy.

When you bring in the houses that are ruled by these planets, areas ruled by the 2nd (money, principles), 8th (taxes, entitlements, intelligence operations) and 12th (secrets, espionage) come into play. One only needs to glance at the headlines to see how this full moon represents events in the USA (e.g., conflicts connected to Obamacare, intelligence/Russia and proposed tax reforms).

Although the presence of the Venus-Neptune conjunction in the 2nd house (money, principles) is a benevolent one that suggests some type of compromise, forgiveness or reconciliation, it doesn't connect with the grand cross. As a matter of fact, it doesn't connect with this chart at all, because neither Venus nor Neptune aspect any other planet in it. Instead, they're locked in an astrological duet.

Think of it this way: Venus and Neptune aren't just engaged in a tight embrace; they only have eyes for each other. Living in their own little astrological world, they're completely isolated from the rest of the chart. Lacking any real integration into the chart, they behave like unaspected planets, which is why I don't expect much help from them.

Getting Personal

Since a full moon involves the Sun and the Moon, it falls across two houses in your chart. The house that holds the Moon is where the action is in your chart, and something related to one (or more) of the life areas ruled by it may come to light, to fruition or to an end.

Given the influence of the cardinal cross, this full moon is more unpredictable, as well as more emotionally charged, than usual. Consequently, some of you may receive surprising news, make an an unexpected decision or experience a sudden ending, and your emotional reaction to it is likely to be strong. However, this isn't to say that your response will be negative, because you could be brimming with happiness. It all depends on your personal horoscope, as well as past actions that brought you to this moment.

Where in your life is such an event likely to occur? Since this is a full moon, the life areas ruled by the house that holds 22° Cancer in your chart is where the action is focused. However, since the Sun lights up the opposite house, you should consider the life areas ruled by the opposite house as well.

If you don't know which house holds 22° of Cancer in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out which house the full moon falls in your solar chart.

Releasing with the Cancer Full Moon

From January 12 through January 26,  you can use the waning energy of the moon to help you release unwanted beliefs, traits or circumstances from your life.

Although you can release anything under any full moon, since this one is in Cancer, its energy is especially help for releasing:

Negative beliefs or fears connected to emotional and financial security, family members, establishing a home, finding your tribe, nurturing (ability to nurture or resistance to being nurtured), bodies of water and intuitive gifts,

Traits or tendencies to be moody,
stingy, clingy, manipulative, fearful, procrastinating, thin-skinned.
Since the next issue of this newsletter is January 22, I want to offer one last reminder that there will be a modest increase in my rates on January 21, which means you have until January 20 to purchase sessions/gift certificates at the current rate (to use sooner or later - there's no expiration date).

While there are still a handful of appointments available in January, I have already started booking appointments in February.

♦ If you're interested in getting on my client list, I urge you to do so by June 30. In the coming months, I'll be making several changes to my practice as I embark upon the path of my north node and honor my soul's path.  In issues to come, I'll share more about this journey and my lifelong resistance to it. While I have no intention of ever retiring from astrology, I plan to sharply limit the number of first-time astrology clients.

If you need a payment plan, email my assistant Kate (kate@debraclementastrologer.com), and she'll work with you to customize a no-interest/no extra cost monthly payment plan (up to 12 months to pay) that fits within your personal budget. What's the catch? Your session won't scheduled until you've made your final payment.

Coming Up

In the January 22 issue, you'll find a mini-lesson about eclipses, and those of you born under Aquarius will find helpful insights into the year ahead.

In the meantime, I'm putting together the Venus Retrograde workshop. One of the reasons I'm so excited about this program is that I've devised a way to personalize it for everyone (and I mean everyone). Plus, if like me you have Venus retrograde in your natal chart (or are in a relationship with someone who does), this workshop will be especially helpful to you.

Until then,

May Jupiter's blessings be your constant companion,

Debra Anne Clement
