Subject: Aquarius New Moon • Mercury Goes Direct • Weekly Forecast & More

Dear Stargazers,

On February 3, Mercury will stop and station direct at 24°23' Capricorn. From that point on until February 24, the day he reaches the degree that where he stationed retrograde (in this case 10° Aquarius), Mercury is in the post-retrograde shadow.

During this time, Mercury isn't functioning at 100% capacity. In fact, at the start of this period he's moving quite slowly but as the days pass, he begins to pick up speed and by February 24, it's business as usual.

Now let's take a look at what else the heavens have in store for us this week.

WEEKLY FORECAST: JANUARY 31 - FEBRUARY 6
All dates are given in the Eastern Time Zone

Planetary Activity

Feb. 01: New Moon in Aquarius

Feb. 03: Mercury stations direct

Notable Aspects

Friday, February 4: Mars sextile Jupiter • Sun conjunct Saturn

Whenever Mars and Jupiter are in harmony, they create a favorable energy that not only benefits professional activities, but promotes any action that is connected to expansion and growth. What's more, this optimistic energy also encourages vitality and supports physical activities, include sex, sports and exercise.

As it happens, this dose of optimistic energy will be very useful because it will help offset the serious tone of today's Sun-Saturn conjunction, which puts a strong focus on professional and personal obligations.

While the best use of this energy is to keep your head down and focus on tasks and chores that require diligence and strong organizational skills, the simultaneous influence of the Mars-Jupiter sextile can make the load feel less heavy. Even better, its presence suggests that any efforts made today that focus on growth and expansion will yield future rewards.

Daily Energy

Best Days: While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

Feb. 2, 3, 4

Best Avoided: The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

NEW MOON at 12°20' AQUARIUS

February 1, 2022 • 12:46 AM EST

This month's new moon is in the future-oriented sign of Aquarius, and it's a serious one because it's conjunct Saturn.

Fortunately, in this case that happens to be a good thing.

Not only will Saturn temper the defiant, rule-breaking side of Aquarius, but it will give form and structure to the Water Bearer's intellectual brilliance, progressive ideas and creative innovations.

It will also hold his feet to the fire and insist that he gets clear about his goals.

That's why this new moon is a very favorable one for setting goals and creating long-term plans. The only hiccup is that Mercury is still retrograde, which means it's possible you could have a change of heart after it goes direct. However, it's much more likely that your goals or plans will just need to be tweaked, and in some cases, it might take a little longer to get things going.
