Dear Stargazers,

The big news is that after six weeks of backpedaling through the sign of the Seagoat, Venus will station direct on January 29 at 11°05'.

Although the planetary ruler of love, money and values will be moving forward, it will take Venus until March 1 to exit her post-retrograde shadow. During this time, and especially until February 11, it's still a good idea to exercise caution in connection with cosmetic procedures, financial investments, big ticket purchases and serious romantic commitments.

Best Days: While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

Best Avoided: The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

Jan. 28: Mercury conjunct Pluto

This influence favors concentration, memory, research and problem solving ,which can make it a very productive influence. However, if you're trying to persuade someone to your point of view (or vice versa), it's doubtful that either one of you will budge. If this is a business negotiation, it's best to postpone it (ideally until after Mercury goes direct), and if it's something between friends or lovers, you may need to agree to disagree.

Since his influence can sometimes promote obsessive thinking, take care to avoid dwelling on past hurts or other unhappy memories.

Jan. 30: Sun square Uranus

While it's possible for this influence to inspire creative brilliance, it's just as likely to promote ego-based conflicts. This is especially true if you insist on getting your own way, because people are less likely to cooperate now. For that reason, you may be better off just spending time by yourself and doing something on your own that you enjoy.

MARS IN CAPRICORN

As the planetary pioneer of the zodiac, Mars is very much at home in this achievement-oriented sign because it’s the sign of his exaltation. In other words, Mars brings out the best of Capricorn and in turn, the Seagoat brings out the best in Mars.

For example, Mars's naturally competitive nature, entrepreneurial spirit and fearless temperament are tempered and enhanced by the sign's practicality, patience, purpose and perseverance.
