Dear Stargazers,

There's much ado in the heavens this week, including a second Aquarius full moon in a row that promises a happy ending for many of you.

PLANETARY FORECAST

August 16 - 22

All dates are given in the Eastern Time Zone

PLANETARY EVENTS

Aug. 16: Venus enters Libra

Aug. 19: Uranus stations retrograde

Aug. 22: Full Moon in Aquarius

Aug. 22: Sun enters Virgo

BEST DAYS: While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

Aug. 18, 19

BEST AVOIDED: The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

Aug 16, 22

NOTABLE ASPECTS

Aug. 18: Mercury conjunct Mars

Your mental stamina gets a boost as Mercury (the mind) conjuncts Mars (energy), which means you can expect your focus and concentration to be strong today. On another note, you will also find it easier than usual to stand up for yourself, as well as ask for what you want. While this can be just what the doctor ordered for some of you, some of you may need to exert a bit of self-control if you don't want to risk burning bridges. Since Mars energy is reactionary and impulsive by nature, it's important to listen (and read things) carefully today to avoid jumping to erroneous conclusions.

Aug. 19: Sun opposite Jupiter

Whenever the Sun and Jupiter aspect each other, their energy inspires confidence, optimism and enthusiasm and today is no exception. However, in this case the confrontational nature of the aspect can promote competition or unrealistic expectations. You'll do best to think twice before agreeing to tight deadlines or making bold promises because there's a good chance you could be biting off more than you can chew.

Aug. 20: Mercury trine Uranus

If you've been thinking about learning something new, today might just be the day you discover something that piques your interest. This influence is also excellent for brainstorming new ideas and socializing with others.

Aug. 22: Mars trine Uranus

When Uranus (brilliance) is energized by Mars (action), amazing things can happen, especially This endeavors involving science, technology, metaphysics, activism or humanitarianism. This influence can also offer an opportunity for personal growth and development because not only are you likely to feel more motivated today, you're not concerned about what other people think of your ideas, hopes or plans.

TRANSITING VENUS IN LIBRA

August 22 - September 10, 2021

As Libra’s planetary ruler, Venus is at ease in the sign of the scales, where her exquisite taste, impeccable manners and refined social skills have earned her a well-deserved reputation as the most gracious hostess in the zodiac. In short, Venus in Libra is unmatched in her ability to bring people together, facilitate groups and create harmony.

Although she enjoys being a social butterfly, Venus in Libra craves one-to-one relationships and is more comfortable, confident and productive when she has a partner. This isn’t because she can’t go it alone. After all, Libra is a cardinal sign with proven leadership ability. It’s just that as the mistress of the 7th house of relationships, she’s motivated to engage in all types of unions; and as the planet of love, she’s partial to romance.

URANUS STATIONS RETROGRADE at 14° TAURUS
August 19 - January 18, 2022

On August 19, Uranus will station retrograde at 14° Taurus, and for the next 5 months it will backpedal through the sign of the Bull.

Whenever a planet is retrograde, its energies are best used introspectively. Since Uranus is known as the Great Awakener and is in Taurus, I encourage you to tap into the value-oriented energy of the Bull and do some soul searching about what (and who) is most important to you.

Uranus also represents liberation, so this is also the time to examine whether anything or anyone (including yourself) is holding you back or inhibiting your growth or freedom. This is the time to ask yourself bold questions, and if need be, face some unfaltering truths.

The road to enlightenment isn't always easy, but the rewards are great. However, before you can liberate yourself in the external world, Uranus demands that you overthrow any personal thoughts, beliefs or patterns that have held you hostage.

In short, mutiny begins within.

FULL MOON IN AQUARIUS at 29°37'

August 22, 2021 | 8:02 AM

Washington, DC

This month's full moon is the second Aquarius full moon in a row, and since it is occurring at the final degree of the sign, it is a critical degree that speaks to ending a chapter. For many of you, this full moon will bring something to a conclusion that didn't quite come to fruition at the July 23 full moon at 1° Aquarius.

This month's full moon is infused with optimism because it conjuncts Jupiter. As it happens, this is the only aspect and it's a very fortunate one, because besides optimism Jupiter is the planet of abundance, prosperity, opportunities and success.

In short, this full moon promises to bring something to a happy conclusion. With Venus (love, money) trining Saturn (commitment, stability) in this chart, relationships and/or finances are likely to benefit from Jupiter's blessings, and the Mars-Uranus trine promises it will feel like a breath of fresh air.
