Last night was another fun night of films and conversations. The audience loved Jim Venturi's film Stardust: The Story of Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown, and there was a lively Q&A after the screening. If you missed Stardust, you have one more chance to see it on Saturday at 6:15pm. Here are some photos from last night...

It's the third day of ADFF:Toronto and the weather is turning cooler, perfect for seeing films. Today, we have four programs including two double features, for a total of six films. After the screening of Sitting Still, which tells the story of the great landscape architect and urbanist Laurie Olin, filmmaker Gina Angelone will join us for a Q&A. Today Azure is wrapping up the second day of its climate conference, Human/Nature. Many conference-goers will head over to ADFF for our screening of Biocentrics, followed by a Q&A moderated by Azure's Editor-in-Chief Elizabeth Pagliacolo. Click here for ADFF:Toronto tickets.

The Saturday screening of E.1027 – Eileen Gray and the House by the Sea is sold out. We will start a rush line at 12:30, a half hour before the screening.

ADFF:Toronto Day 3

6 films, 1 panel discussion, 1 Q&A

6:15pm | Sitting Still

A portrait of prolific landscape architect Laurie Olin told through a prism of concerns that have defined his life’s work: urbanization and a lost connection to nature, economic marginalization, and the grave importance of humanity in design.

This screening will be followed by a Q&A with Director Gina Angelone.

6:30pm | Biocentrics

Biologist Janine Benyus explores nature as a model for reinventing our world. Witness the birth of biomimicry, a new scientific frontier shaping our response to the future.

This screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Craig Applegath, Matthew Hickey, and Elizabeth Pagliacolo.

8:45pm | This Is Not A House & The House: 6 Points of Departure

These films explore the creative genius behind two world-famous works of residential architecture. This Is Not A House is the story of one of the most unique homes in the world, a combination of art, technology, and play designed by Robin Donaldson. The House: 6 Points of Departure is an exploration of the creative process behind the Crawford House in Montecito, California, one of the world’s most widely studied houses.

9:15pm | Green Over Gray: Emilio Ambasz & Indigenous Pathways

Green Over Gray is an exploration of the green architecture revolution through the seminal projects of Emilio Ambasz, a pioneer in the debate on climate impact. Before the feature presentation, we'll screen the new short Indigenous Pathways, which follows an Indigenous instructor and a group of students as they follow an ancient migration path in Peru.
