Subject: ADFF NEXT STOP — CANADA

October 12, 2022

The next stops for the ADFF season are Toronto and Vancouver. We have been bringing the festival to both cities for many years, and the audiences are always fantastic. You can view the films and schedules on our website. This year's program includes 15 films from 10 countries, and three of the films are from Canada. Ticket sales begin October 19.

ADFF:Toronto — presented by Eventscape — will be Nov 2-5. Once again, we will be at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. ADFF is proud to be a Partner Festival of TIFF, an organization that is "dedicated to presenting the best of international and Canadian cinema and creating transformational experiences for film lovers and creators of all ages and backgrounds." ADFF's mission is aligned with TIFF, with an added focus on films about the creative spirit of Architecture and Design.

ADFF is collaborating with the Toronto Society of Architects, who are curating conversations after four of the films. Stay tuned for announcements about the speakers and panels.

Opening night will feature the Canadian Premiere of Fashion Reimagined. This is a film about sustainability, supply chain, and how one person's passion can change a global industry. The filmmaker, Becky Hutner, is originally from Toronto and will be coming in from London for the premiere. After the film, she'll answer questions, and then we'll move to an afterparty at a'crne.

ADFF:Vancouver — presented by All in Pictures and Vancouver Special — will be Nov 9-12. This year, opening night will be at the beautiful art deco Hollywood Theatre. The party starts at 6:00, and the Vancouver premiere of Fashion Reimagined starts at 7:30.

After opening night, all other screenings will take place at VIFF. We will screen two films that were created in Vancouver – the first about legendary architect Richard Henriquez, and the second, Outside In, featuring Vancouver architects like Michael Green in conversations about biophilic design. This film will close the festival on Saturday night and be followed by a party at VIFF.

The conversations and Q&As will be announced soon. Urbanarium will lead a panel after the screening of the Vancouver premiere of Robin Hood Gardens. We look forward to seeing you there!
