Subject: Your Weekly Market Snapshot: 19th - 23rd October 2026

Assalamu’alaikum traders,

Alhamdulillah, Week 42 is officially in the books. 🤲🏻

Another week in the market, another opportunity to learn. Remember, we don’t have to catch every move or trade every day to become better traders. Sometimes, protecting our capital and having the patience to wait is already a win.

📊 Friday Market Wrap – Week 42

📉 Wall Street faces another challenging week!

U.S. stocks continued to struggle as investors grew more cautious about heavy AI investments, rising financing costs, and growing tensions in the Middle East involving Iran. Technology and semiconductor stocks took the biggest hits, while defensive sectors like healthcare, utilities, and consumer staples offered some support. Oil prices climbed on geopolitical fears, while Treasury yields fell as investors moved towards safer assets.

Despite the uncertainty, the U.S. economy, business activity, and early earnings results remain relatively resilient. However, inflation, higher energy costs, interest rates, and questions surrounding AI spending could keep markets volatile. This is a good reminder to stay diversified, manage risk, and avoid putting too much of our capital into one stock or sector.

💭 How was your trading week?

Did you make a profit, take a loss, or sit on the sidelines waiting for the right opportunity?

Whatever your answer, don't be too hard on yourself. One week doesn't define you as a trader. What matters is whether you learn, improve, and stay disciplined. Remember, not every opportunity deserves your money.

🌱 Stay grounded. Markets will rise and fall, but discipline and patience are what help us navigate the uncertainty.

Our rizq comes from Allah, not the market. Our job is to learn, prepare, and make responsible decisions. The outcome is in His hands.

⚠️ Not financial advice. Always do your own research.

Have a blessed weekend! Rest, recharge, and spend quality time with your loved ones. May Allah place barakah in our rizq, protect us from impulsive decisions, and guide us towards what is best.

See you next Saturday, Inn shaa Allah. 🤲🏻

Cheers & Regards,

Syazwan Bakar
