Subject: Your Weekly Market Snapshot: 17th - 21st August 2026

Assalamu'alaikum traders,

Alhamdulillah, Week 33 is officially in the books. 🤲🏻

Whatever this week looked like for you, I hope you walk away with a lesson. The market has a funny way of reminding us that some weeks feel easy, some feel painful, and some simply keep us humble.

If you ended in profit, Alhamdulillah. Take the win, be grateful, protect your capital, and stay grounded. If you took a loss, don’t beat yourself up. Step back, review your trades, understand what went wrong, and come back with a better plan.

📊 Friday Market Wrap – Week 33

Minutes Chart:

📉 A Tough Week for the Bulls

Rising Treasury yields put pressure on U.S. stocks this week. The 10-year yield climbed to around 4.73%, while the 30-year reached 5.27%, as concerns over inflation, higher oil prices and ongoing geopolitical tensions continued to weigh on markets.

The S&P 500 dropped 1.4%, the Nasdaq fell 2%, and the Dow declined 0.9%, ending the S&P 500 and Nasdaq’s three-week winning streaks.

With Treasury yields potentially staying elevated and August–September often bringing more volatility, investors may need to brace for further consolidation. All eyes now turn to the Federal Reserve and Jackson Hole for clearer signals on the path ahead.

Daily charts:

Still, resilient economic activity and strong corporate earnings provide a solid foundation for equities over the longer term. But if yields continue breaking higher or geopolitical risks escalate, we could see a deeper correction.

May Allah put barakah in our rizq and wisdom in our decisions.
