Happy Sunday Friend !

Watch a young child standing in front of a mirror. She doesn't wonder whether she's pretty enough, smart enough, successful enough or lovable enough.

She doesn't even ask: “Am I enough?”

She simply is. And that is enough.

Then, as we grow, the world hands us all kinds of mirrors: our appearance, our successes, our failures, other people's opinions, what we own, what we accomplish, etc

And little by little, we begin to measure ourselves.

Though a mirror can reflect our face, it cannot reflect our kindness.

A bank account can count what we possess. It cannot count the people we have comforted.

A résumé can describe what we have accomplished. It cannot measure our capacity to love.

Perhaps we have simply been asking the wrong instruments to tell us who we are.

What about, if today, we choose to remember:

I am not becoming whole. I am learning to recognize that I always was! ✨
