A New Astrology:
Basics of Star Wisdom

Thursdays: October 1 through 29
6:00 - 8:00 PM
Mountain time (UTC -6)

Brian Gray
David Tresemer
Robert Schiappacasse

This 5-session online course covering the basics of astrosophy (which means “star wisdom”) will be valuable for both beginners as well as experienced astrologers and astrosophers.  There are currently no programs being offered in Western sidereal astrology based in anthroposophy, so we will begin at the beginning.

The dazzling Beings of the heavens influence our lives intimately.  Consider the idea that your first in-breath at birth was not random, but rather coordinated with positions and movements in the starry heavens.  We will begin with this as a hypothesis, and through the course you will learn to test and evaluate it for yourself.  We will use the instrument of the StarHouse (in Boulder, Colorado) to assist in this exploration.

Those desiring to expand self-knowledge will benefit from this course.  They will also increase their capacity to assist others in their development.  The three presenters have extensive experience in star wisdom and will be sharing their knowledge.  They will provide your birth chart and teach the basics of how to interpret it. You will also learn how to work with the birth-moment charts of others.

Session 1: Wonder
October 1st
The heavens seem so far away – or are they?  The first evidence of their influence in our lives is our physical bodies.  We find the path to stars and planets through the physical body.

Session 2: The Zodiac in Depth
October 8th
The activity of the twelve great Beings of the zodiac was revealed to the initiates of ancient times and passed on to us.  What was the imagination Zarathustra experienced while gazing into the heavens?

Session 3: The Planets as Purveyors of Feeling
October 15th
While Sun and Moon dominate our experience of the sky, it is the wandering stars – the planets – that engage our attention: for example when Venus shines out strongly, or Jupiter chases Saturn for a rare conjunction.

Session 4: Birth Chart Aspects – Qualities of Relationship
October 22nd
Aspects reveal the interactions between the different planetary bodies.  The quality of their relationships with each other is key to understanding our life of feeling.

Session 5: Birth Chart Houses – The Human Life Cycle
October 29th
Houses give the most delicate details of how the celestial alignments and activities at the moment of first breath provide a picture of each human being’s choices regarding how to engage life.
