This is a unique program in Western sidereal astrology based in anthroposophy. Our aim is to understand the patterns in our connections with celestial events – both personal and for the world. If you feel called to develop such a skill, then please join this exploration in a “New Astrology”.
Series 1 introduced participants to the foundations of a new Western anthroposophic sidereal astrology. This included creating your birth chart and how to read both your own chart as well as the birth-moment charts of others. Each of the sessions included recordings and handouts to support further study. We strongly recommend that you study Series 1 before joining Series 2 because those building blocks we introduced are essential before zooming deeper into the heavens.
Series 2 will begin with a quick review of what we achieved in the first Series. Each of the five presentations within this series will emphasize a basic skill to further your understanding, as well as specific applications of star wisdom. In every session we will read sample charts together, learn to read about the moment of birth and the potential in a life understood through relationship to the beings of the starry worlds.
Whether you are an experienced astrologer or astrosopher, or you are new to these pursuits, this course will benefit anyone serious about self-knowledge – and assisting others – through the lens of star wisdom.

This 6-session online course covers the basics of astrosophy (which means “star wisdom”). There are few courses in Western sidereal astrology based in anthroposophy, and none with the approach this group has developed. Given the uniqueness of this program, let's begin at the beginning - your beginning!
What if your first breath was not random?
Consider the idea that your first in-breath at birth was not random, but coordinated with positions and movements in the starry heavens, that the dazzling beings of the heavens influence our lives intimately. We will begin with this as a hypothesis, and through the course you will learn how to test and evaluate it for yourself. We will use the instrument of the StarHouse to support this exploration.
Drawing on our extensive research and experience in star wisdom, we will provide you with instructions for creating your birth chart and assist you in learning to interpret not only your own chart, but also the birth-moment charts of others.
Whether you are an experienced astrologer or astrosopher, or you are new to these pursuits, this course will benefit anyone serious about self-knowledge – and assisting others – through the lens of star wisdom.
The sessions in this Series 1 will ground you in the basics of astrosophy, and will serve as a prerequisite for additional courses in the New Astrology series, should you wish to take your explorations even further.
Session 1: Wonder
The heavens seem so far away – or are they? The first evidence of their influence in our lives is our physical bodies. We find the path to stars and planets through the physical body. Rudolf Steiner recommended that one begin one’s exploration of the cosmos and existence through wonder at the physical level – and we will do just that. We will also take a first look at your sidereal birth chart. {Instructions are provided for creating your chart in the recommended form.}
Session 2: The Zodiac in Depth
The activity of the twelve great Beings of the zodiac was revealed to the initiates of ancient times and passed on to us. What was the imagination Zarathustra experienced while gazing into the heavens?
Session 3: The Planets as Purveyors of Feeling
While Sun and Moon dominate our experience of the sky, it is the wandering stars – the planets – that engage our attention: for example, when Venus shines out strongly, or Jupiter chases Saturn for a rare conjunction. How can we discover the impacts these planets have on our lives? How can we work with the existence and movement of these planets against the backdrop of the zodiac?
Session 4: Birth Chart Aspects – Qualities of Relationship
Aspects reveal the interactions between the different planetary bodies. The quality of their relationships with each other is key to understanding our life of feeling.
Session 5: Birth Chart Houses – The Human Life Cycle
Houses give the most delicate details of how the celestial alignments and activities at the moment of first breath provide a picture of each human being’s choices regarding how to engage life.
Session 6: Bonus Question and Answer Time
Brian, David, and Robert answer several substantive questions submitted by participants. This session also includes an in-depth biography through an exploration of a famous artist's birth chart.

| | | The Grand Conjunction of Jupiter & Saturn The Series

Every twenty years, Jupiter and Saturn stand at the same place in the heavens. Throughout history, this “grand conjunction” has been seen as a harbinger of world change, and this time it occurred at the end of 2020.
What makes this particular event extremely rare is that Jupiter and Saturn will also be conjunct Pluto – we are living in very rare times, indeed! The close, mutual interplay of these three planets (the last comparable occurrence was in 1285) will continue to impact us for years to come. Our research has shown astonishing interconnections between these planetary phenomena, world events, and the 2020 U.S. election year.
In this three-part series, Brian Gray, David Tresemer, and Robert Schiappacasse share patterns learned from past conjunctions, challenges and opportunities at this time in America's destiny, and the marking of a new chapter – an impulse for cultural renewal. The penetrating analyses of this new 20-year chapter will be relevant for the next 20 years!
This course includes the culmination of three content-rich webinar recordings, totaling more than 6 hours of videos. Each session includes a recording of a live Zoom call providing a wealth of information relevant to the each of the session themes.
Session 1: The Grand Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn
In this session, the patterns from past conjunctions are uncovered, as well as the possibilities and dangers of this one. As with all astrological research, these influences work in complicated ways. Mysteries are discussed and hints offered toward how to assess the energies moving in these times.
Session 2: Star Wisdom and the Destiny of America
The 2020 election year in the United States was one of crisis. It began with the devastating global pandemic, an impeachment trial of the president, and the biggest economic downturn since the Great Depression of 1929. Just as serious is the pandemic of emotional upheaval and challenges to the very concept of truth, marked by widespread deceptions, disregard for medical and climate science, and the sowing of confusion around election security. Battles of many kinds roam the streets and the airwaves.
To better understand the spiritual dimensions of the political drama underway, this session looks at perspectives provided by the planetary and zodiacal configurations that unfolded during the election year. Explorations focused on the birth chart of America (providing a view of America’s destiny) in relation to current events, and the challenges and opportunities at this time in America’s destiny viewed through the lens of star wisdom.
Session 3: Impulse for Cultural Renewal
The conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn marks the beginning of a new chapter – a new cultural impulse that affects humanity’s capacities to discern truth and act wisely, and to reconnect with the beauty of the natural world.
In this session Brian, David, and Robert conclude their three-part series on the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction with the most serious of the correlates of this celestial event.
