Subject: Christi Krug's Wildfire Writing

"Art is not meant to be created in stolen moments only."--Clarissa Pinkola Estes
How are you owning your creativity this summer?*
More than any other force in your life, you must respect the fire of creativity. You must give yourself permission to spend time, money and effort--regardless of the outcome of your work. Only then can you negotiate the disappointments and needs of others around you.
--Burn Wild: A Writer's Guide to Creative Breakthrough

Here are some ways to add creativity to your summer to-do list.

Sunday, June 16: Wildfire Writing workshop at Writer's Mill, Cedar Mill Library, 1 pm. Free.

Wednesday, June 26, Wildfire Wednesday reading at Cascade Park Library, 6:10 pm. Free.

Tuesday, July 9, Wildfire Writing Intensive. Tues and Thurs evenings through 7-25 at Clark.

I would love to see you at any of the above.
*I love to hear your solutions to finding time to write. By the way, guess who recently finished their first novel drafts? Melanie Serpa and Susan Harder. Good job!
Our own Val Wagner will be a featured reader at Backspace on June 24 at 7pm.
Maureen Sullivan says she turns to Burn Wild when she needs some writing inspiration. "It's like having you right there, cheering me on!"  Thanks, Maureen.
