| The summer sun demands respect. Respect for fire, respect for clean air, respect for water, respect for ourselves, and respect for each other. This summer the dry conditions have already brought the treat of fire closer to home than we would like. Luckily thanks to the hardworking and dedicated fire fighters, the Sites Fires is no longer threatening, and the sky has cleared of smoke. Our utmost gratitude goes out to the over 2,000 personal who worked tirelessly on containing the fire. This event has highlighted the importance of respecting fire and only using it it in safe, designated spaces. This time of year our fresh water springs begin to slow and the sacredness of water is emphasized. Conservation efforts are key to respecting water if we want to guarantee a supply until the winter rains. If the heat teaches us anything, it's that we must listen to our bodies and know when to take breaks. It also asks us to look out for our fellow community members, ensuring everyone is taking care of themselves properly. Summer, we are listening, and will show respect where it's due.
Join us on the Yoga Deck this summer for various yoga, movement, and meditation programs. We humbly thank each of our programmers for giving their time to Wilbur community. Check out our special events page to stay up to date on our latest offerings.
Stay cool, and we hope to see you soon.

| | | Trail creation has begun! By the beginning of winter we hope to have a brand new trail completed and ready for guest exploration. We hope new and returning guests alike will enjoy having access to an entirely new route of exploration in the nature preserve. We are extremely grateful for the community members continuing to show up during the summer months to help maintain progress on this project. The hot weather means early mornings and easy afternoons. It also means looking after one another and listening to our bodies, there is no need to over do it. A cold shower and a dip in the pool is the perfect way to end a satisfying day of work.
If you are interested in being involved, or just staying up to date on what's happening, please join our Stewardship Work-Trade List.

Hot Weather is Here We are starting to experience heat waves that bring temperatures over 100 degrees. We recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Please note that the rooms don't have AC, however the Solar Lodge is built into the hillside, which helps it keep cool during the summer months. Check our onsite weather station here, most weather platforms will also be fairly accurate. As forecasts are available well in advance, our 3 day cancelation policy is still in affect for hot weather related cancelations.
We're Hiring! We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill a few roles here at Wilbur. Please check out our Open Positions and fill out an application if you are interested in applying.
August Closure We will be closed starting the night of Sunday, August 4th and reopening for overnight guests starting Friday, August 16th. This annual closedown allows us time to do repairs we are unable to complete while open, we appreciate your understating.

| An Invitation from Dr. Richard Miller
Many of you recall that during my 48-year tenure as owner of Wilbur Hot Springs, I sent weekly newsletters announcing upcoming guests on my radio program, Mind Body Health and Politics. Every week, I host a forum to engage with critical issues that influence our lives and the world. These discussions feature prominent national authorities, scientists, and best-selling authors exploring the intricate relationship between our mental, physical, and societal well-being.
I trust you will join me once again by subscribing to the Mind Body Health & Politics newsletter. While you’re there, drop a comment with your favorite memory of Wilbur.
See you in the waters! Golden light,
Dr. Richard L. Miller
