| The sun rises early, and doesn't set until late this time of year, bringing change to the landscape once again. The creek slows down, and the grasses start to turn the hillsides golden. The birds are chittering away, and the bees are keeping busy. Wilbur has a special way of illuminating the ever changing cycles of life so that we may reflect upon them in our own lives. For Wilbur residents, summer time means slowing down, finding ways to keep cool, and staying aware of the dangers summertime can bring. It also means fun in the sun and the perfect time for mindful movement.
Join us on the Yoga Deck this summer for various yoga, movement, and meditation programs. We humbly thank each of our programmers for giving their time to Wilbur community. Check out our special events page to stay up to date on our latest offerings. You won't want to miss the chance to enjoy the Yoga Deck during the warmer months!
Remember to stay hydrated, and we hope to see you soon.

| Over the past few months, we are excited to report that many of you have joined the ranks of stewardship work traders! Among our numerous projects are beaver dam analogs, wildfire fuel reduction, invasive species removal and habitat restoration. With each group, we've taken meaningful bites off of much larger scale projects. During April and May, our work groups installed a total of 12 stick and mud dams, and at least 6 rock dams! This progress is encouraging and we hope to pick the pace up even more once the rains begin returning in the late fall.
With the tributaries drying up, our plan is to switch gears a bit and look to the hills. This June we are planning to give the trails some much needed love. Once the established trails are groomed, we'll begin work on a brand new trail starting near the long term parking lot! If you are interested in being involved in this opportunity, or just staying up to date on what's happening, please join our Stewardship Work-Trade List. As community relationships expand and deepen, more ideas and opportunities become available. It truly is inspiring to see it all start coming together.
In other exciting news, Wilbur has begun closely working with Amy Green, a long term guest who has stepped up to the plate as beekeeper! It's been wonderful to begin establishing a connection with Amy who is deeply knowledgeable about the bees, and such a joy to be around. During one of her last visits, she re-queened our hives to help protect the genetic pool from developing aggressive behaviors. We are most appreciative for Amy’s care and initiative and are excited to have her tending Wilbur’s hives. Follow along her adventures @NoblePathApiary on Facebook and Instagram.

| Relaxing the 2 Night-Minimum We are relaxing the 2 night minimum for most week days as we move into our summer season. Check for select 1-night stays online here.
Summer Weather Pool The pool has been switched back to chlorinated spring water for the summer months. We hope you will enjoy a refreshing dip on a hot summer day!
Hot Weather Approaching As we move into summer, remember to pack accordingly for hot weather. We recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Please note that the rooms don't have AC, however the Solar Lodge is built into the hillside, which helps it keep cool during the summer months.
We're Hiring! We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to fill a few roles here at Wilbur. Please check out our Open Positions and fill out an application if you are interested in applying.
August Closure We will be closed starting the night of Sunday, August 4th and reopening for overnight guests starting Friday, August 16th. This annual closedown allows us time to do repairs we are unable to complete while open, we appreciate your understating.

| An Invitation from Dr. Richard Miller
Many of you recall that during my 48-year tenure as owner of Wilbur Hot Springs, I sent weekly newsletters announcing upcoming guests on my radio program, Mind Body Health and Politics. Every week, I host a forum to engage with critical issues that influence our lives and the world. These discussions feature prominent national authorities, scientists, and best-selling authors exploring the intricate relationship between our mental, physical, and societal well-being.
I trust you will join me once again by subscribing to the Mind Body Health & Politics newsletter. While you’re there, drop a comment with your favorite memory of Wilbur.
See you in the waters! Golden light,
Dr. Richard L. Miller
