Dear Friend,

As you may have read in the recent news, the White House issued an Executive Order that has immediately halted funding for foreign aid. Consequently, USAID has reached out to existing partners to immediately suspend work on current projects with notice that all funding is paused until further review.  

Five Talents Kenya is part-way through a USAID-funded program that is now impacted by the stop-work order. We are seeking clarity on what this means for their work going forward, but remain committed to supporting these affected communities, however possible.

In the meantime, please pray for our Kenyan colleagues to continue to walk in faith and courage despite great unknowns, and for discerning wisdom on how to navigate the way forward. Pray for the communities and church partners that are affected by this pause to not lose heart. Finally, please pray for wisdom for those who are conducting the foreign aid review. 

As you can imagine, this is an abrupt, confusing and ever-changing situation. Despite the uncertainty in the moment, we continue to trust in God as our refuge and strength, an ever present help in times of trouble. (Ps. 46:1).
