As we celebrate Independence Day, we are reminded of the many blessings we enjoy — the freedom to worship, to work, to gather with loved ones, to serve our neighbors, and to determine the course of our own lives.

That last freedom, self-determination, is too often absent from the experience of those living in poverty. But your generosity and prayers are helping people grow in personal agency and set a new direction for their lives through opportunities many of us take for granted: learning to read, starting a business, saving for the future, and providing for their children.

Your partnership is helping women and men experience a renewal of dignity, agency, and hope.
