WEDNESDAY - OCTOBER 1

LAST CALL for BOARD NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the Wayfarers 2026-27 Board of Directors are due Wednesday, 10/1 BEFORE the 10 AM Board Meeting.


BOARD MEETING - Wednesday, October 1 (10 AM)

The Wayfarers Board of Directors will meet Wednesday, October 1st in the main chapel at 10 AM to conduct routine business and review nominations for the 2026-27 Board.


All Wayfarers are welcome to attend and observe Board meetings. If you have something you would like the Board to consider, please contact Jen Utley prior to Wednesday's meeting. Meeting agenda is available for review.


CALLING MUSICIANS of ANY LEVEL / STYLE / GENRE

Wednesday, October 1 (5-6:30 PM)

Gather with us at Wayfarers Chapel on Wednesday, October 1 from 5 until 6:30pm to share, learn, and encourage our musical ideas.  If you love singing or playing an instrument, join us and please bring a favorite tune to share with the group.

SUNDAY - OCTOBER 5

SERVICE - Sunday, October 5 (10 AM)

Our musician this Sunday is Keith Vickers and our message is by Dr. Katie Davis. Katie's message is Restore, Replenish, Rinse, Repeat.


DRUM CIRCLE - Sunday October 5 (6-8 PM)

Love group drumming? This is for you. Just curious as to what it's all about? This is for you too!! Drumming is a great way to lift your spirit and have a whole lot of fun. No drum? No problem. We have plenty of drums and percussion instruments to share. See you on the 5th!

GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

OPELSKE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

It is officially LEAF SEASON! On the Friday or Saturday before each service, a team of three can easily clear the leaves, nuts, and limbs from the sidewalks, parking areas, deck, and gutters. If you are interested in serving in this way, please sign up for one or more weeks using the signup sheet at the back of the chapel. (Or it might wander over to the bookshelves.)

WEEKLY EVENTS

MEDITATION - Mondays (5-6 PM)

The meditation leader and style changes each week. General format is: arrive quietly, brief introductions, meditation, brief discussion about the meditation, and a 5 minute silent closing meditation.

This group is suitable for all experience levels and everyone is welcome!


WRITERS GROUP - Tuesdays (5-6:30 PM)

The Wayfarers Writers Group is the perfect environment to be inspired and hone your writing skills. All genres, all experience levels welcome.

LAST WEEK

This past Sunday morning we enjoyed the music of Pam and Rick Cushenan and the message "It's Not That I'm Angry ..." by Rev. Jamie Sanders. Videos will be available later this week.

In the afternoon, we gathered for our final concert of the season with Loose Shoes Duo.
