July 20-26, 2026

THIS WEEK

WRITERS GROUP (5:00 PM, Tuesday, July 21st)

The Writers Group is a gathering of people of all writing types, styles and abilities who meet each week to share their craft and give one another feedback. Everyone with an interest is encouraged to attend whether you've never written before or have years of experience.

OPELSKE (9 AM - Saturday, July 25th)

If you are a gardener or just love the land where our chapel is located, join the Opelski team on the last Saturday of each month. A group of folks who appreciate the beauty of our location get together and work to care for it. Contact Joyce for more information.

SUNDAY SERVICE (10 AM - July 26th)

This week's service includes music by Marie Dunkle and Paul Watts.

Rev. Jamie Sanders' message is "A New Chapter Through Closure" in which he explores the idea that to ensure a new story or chapter on our journey and to be successful, we must turn within to have closure from past wounds.

Stick around after the service for munchies and visiting.

BOARD MEETING (Following Service - July 26th)

The Board will meet immediately following the service. All wayfarers are welcome to attend.

If you have ideas or concerns you would like the Board to address at a future meeting, please contact a Board member. Contact info for all board members is found near the bottom of this newsletter and posted on the website.

DRUM CIRCLE (6-8 PM - Sunday, July 26th)

Our next drum circle is July 26th. If the weather is good we will be out on the deck. Otherwise, we'll be inside. No experience necessary. If you have a drum, percussion, or other instrument, bring it. If not, we have plenty of instruments to share.

MEDITATION GROUP (5:30 PM - Monday August 3rd)

Meditation will be held the first Monday of every month at 5:30 in RoseMary's chapel. This month the meditation will be led by Marie Dunkle. Don't miss this opportunity for quiet contemplation and fellowship.

READING ROOM (6:30 PM August 14th)

This is your chance to experience the amazing talents of our writers as members of the Wayfarers Writers Group publicly read selected works. The creativity of these writers is a treasure. Hope to see you there. Light refreshments will be available.

ROSIN & ROSE DECK CONCERT (2-4 PM August 16th)

Marie Dunkle and Delphine Rivers combine violin and vocals for a delightful afternoon of jazz and more.

REIKI (Wednesday, August 19th from 4-6 PM)

Reiki practitioners offer complementary sessions to assist you in your journey to greater physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Sessions are free and open to everyone.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Last Sunday included music by Ruth Henry and an interactive presentation by Karen Semmelman in which we explored our interconnectedness and how our intentions influence and affect others. Music and message are now available online.

There were several requests for Ruth's guitar/whistling tunes for meditation music. Links for the first song, "Sitting in the Silence", and the second song, "Longing", are available for download through August 15th.

In the afternoon, our concert series continued with legendary “pickers” and singer/songwriters, Charlie Simmons and Bill Peterson.
